Been using the PP2000 for my Assault CQB class, it's very good, but need to unlock the Extra Mags and it'll be much better.

Decent round of matches again last night, even if there were horrendous lag spikes at times.

Edit: Oh and C4ing cas a couple of times was good, though I did seem to spawn on the end of Apok's gun most times!

Booted up this game after a long, long time. Never knew it was this much fun, went up a few levels but lost most of the games I entered.
 
Unlocked the M60 earlier. What a beast. Especially with extended mag, on maps like Metro you become Rambo!

Although typically, I unlocked it when I was not far from unlocking the holographic scope for the PKP. So the PKP has been put aside with the M60 taking its place.

A couple of those I had just spawned in too. We had some decent tank battles.

Also on tehran I killed a sniper with my javelin, dummy was sitting right next to his soflam which I locked onto.
 
VEXD tomorrow we will own the other team! (juhna here) Actually dont know your time zone so cant tell if its tomorrow for you but its for me.
 
Na I just stand there waiting to be shot when some is around, kinda gave up even pulling the trigger, wait til knifed or shot. (me one mag is not enough to kill him two bullets) = no chance ever.

So yesterday a level 73 guy was DARTing everyone at Seine. So I sent him a psn commending him on his choice of expert weaponary and then deleted his reply without reading it.

Then today at Metro a 53 star colonel was using it too, so I asked him why he was being a noob. He didn't reply, but did find time to teabag me the last time he killed me. Fair call, I would have teabagged him too if I had the chance.

Anyway, PKP + Suppressor + Bipod = 👍. Nasty kick off the first few rounds, but a long distance lazer after that.
 
Normally I just teabag the ground if I'm not able to teabag them. I was in a Noshar CQ game and a Little Bird was spawn killing the Z-11W when it popped up. I managed to take out the Little Bird when it was 50m in the air and I was using an RPG :D

I'm starting to like sniping in Hardcore servers. It's a OSK to almost anywhere as well. I'm using an M40 with the Russian 3.4 scope. So awesome :D
 
^ I remember when the game came out I was playing Rush in Damavand and it was at the first set of MCOMS and the Z11 was shooting at the guys on the hill and as it flew up the hill quite quickly I shot a rocket, hit it which disabled it, and sent it into the side of the mountain killing all the passengers.
 
Firestorm start of round. Decide to take a tank all the way around to A. Cut over the mountains and down past.the 6 or so oil tanks. See a chopper coming and fire a single.shell while traveling full sprint speed. Turned out to be a 5 kill kazaksta whatever chopper kill, felt like Superman.
Get to A and get blown up, but bailed in time. See the chopper coming in again and land on roof above A. Run up the pipelines and RPG the same pilot, this time with 3 in it.
Then I died
But 8 kills, 2 destroys with 2 unguided projectiles was quite satisfying.

Today actually, OP Caspian Border. Attack Chopper was circle strafing hilltop and I just made pot shot at it with my RPG, it landed an me and my friends laughed as he exploded XD

If you pay attention, the chopper freezes for split second then blows up, thats actually what we found funny lol
 
Tried the M4A1 as my Engi's main weapon as the P90's appauling lack of distance is chafing me. Pretty cool weapon, ridiculously stable firing platform. Just need to find a decent scope for it, the red dot doesn't have me sold.

Do you guys use heavy barrel/ foregrip on it?

I just use the DART on them and let my actions do the talking.
Also I use the Suppressor + Bipod combo on my M249 and it works well.

I think I've only gotten one or two RPG/SMAW hits on helicopters. Though I did get numerous takedowns with a regular tank shell. :D

That was my very first service star. The PP2000 is a great gun. 👍
 
I think my first Service Star was the SV98. I almost solely played Recon for the first 10 or so hours of gameplay. Second was the M416.

You must have had horrific lag, one of those kills at Caspian I unloaded a whole clip of my 1911 and had time to switch to the main gun. Lag isn't fun, we had some major spikes the other night that caused my Jet to randomly crash and the chopper VEXD and gaz were in to crash as well.
 
I had a lot of lag last night.
One round on metro with mike in particular was real bad. I ran up the escalators to B 6 or7 tines only yo lag back down them. Acouple times directly below where I lagged backwards.

Had some fun mav spotting for a couple rounds last night. Figured my gun just couldn't find targets so ill spot for everyone else. Metro rush first section musthabe killed 10 spawn beacons and some tugs. Also disabled there mav a counple times as well. And also a TDM on kharg. We were down like 20 tickets at the halfway mark so I switched to recon and spotted like crazy. We managed a comeback win.

Working tonight so ill be on for most of the night.

I have only managed one or two hit markers with unguided rockets, though those were prior to the latest patch when unguided rocket damage was changed.

Had numerous chopper take downs with unguided shells, I even had a jet takedown at Caspian a week or so ago with an unguided shell, though admittedly he couldn't have been more than 30m, saw him coming directly at me, firing main gun and lucked out on the timing of firing the shell, highly amusing. Choppers are fairly easy if the pilot isn't very aware of what's going on around him.

I tend to use PDWs when I play support, and after using the UMP, PDW-R and AS Val a little, I tried the PP-2000 today and loved it. It's surprising how far you can be effective with it even with iron sights, the lack of recoil really makes up for the reduced power at range.

The F2000 might be a better weapon for a CQB assault kit, though, I've found it to be utterly devastating at close range. Weirdly, though, I think the PDWs are probably better at longer ranges than the F2000 because it really can't shoot straight, which is an advantage up close as it means you only need to vaguely line up your targets, but it's not a particularly versatile weapon like the M416 used to be (I haven't used the M416 since the patch, but I heard it got nerfed, I don't know how or how effectively though).
 
I have to say I love the pp-2000 and very effective with extended mags and even at medium range. Best weapon iv used to date.

Nope. I've seen a couple copies here and there in hole in the wall stores but you'd be very lucky to find one.

:lol: No problem. Also you probably already know but BF3 has an online pass that's $15 if you buy used. So unless you get a wicked deal on a used one it isn't worth it.

Haven't used it myself, but I do still get killed a fair amount with it so it can't have been nerfed too much.

The M416 is still a beast after the patch. Its my absolute favorite weapon and I still use it a lot. At the moment the current combo I have is Grip/Holo/Suppressor and it performs amazingly well still after the patch. Changes were minimal to this gun I believe.

This is one of the things that keeps BF3 alive in my opinion - getting to grips with a new weapon and being driven to master it.

When I one day return to the Assault class, I want to run the AEK and G3 as I have yet to try them. The MP7 is also another one I want to try, I've seen a lot of guys in CQC have high success with it i.e. they kill me a lot with it.
