Was teamed up with this guy that had an AWESOME Borat accent that he spoke in while we flew around in a Lil' Bird kicking butt. We started losing when you joined. :p

I was playing on my living room TV at the time. I'm starting to think that I am experiencing input lag on that TV.
At work I run on a cheap 27 LCD viore TV and had the same on my gaming desk at home. I do well on those TVs. Recently got a 42" LCD Sanyo for the game desk and do fine on that as well. But when I play on the 65 dlp in the living room I do terrible. Constantly losing gun battles I know I should be winning.
Aggravating as that is hooked up to my surround sound, and this game is so much better with a proper sound field.

When racing on my living room TV I sit with my pedals right against the stand. Other games I usually slide back my chair a few feet or if I'm couching it I'm about 14 feet back. Trying different seating positions thinking maybe its because I'm to close and can't see the whole screen, slowing reaction time down. But even on the couch I can't get going.

I'm going to try switching anti aliasing off today and see if that helps. I think that's what it was anyway ;0 If not the grrrrr.
Luckily the Sony surround system I have is down to 128$ at wall mart. It was 350 when I bought new and is a decent system for everyday use.



Quick version:
Is it switching anti aliasing that was supposed to help with input lag?
 
Turning off AA does help with input lag.

Any tips with the FAMAS? Best setup for it? I'm at 285 kills, but I just want to get the last 65 done as quick as possible because I'm completely over the recoil on it. I've mainly used laser sight + foregrip or flash suppressor + foregrip. Didn't notice any differences.

Not sure on the famas. Aim lower ;) ad couple high ticket metro or sienne rounds should net the 65 rather quickly for you. Sienne always seems to play out as my longest rounds.
Or some TDM ,I hate it!

Cracked the top 0% with the g53 last night!

Bipod + Suppressor, should work pretty well or
 
Hopped in a round half over. Switch a to alliasing off and went well. Ended closer to 1:1 Kd than the 12/4 start but got c4 twice and tanked out of heli once. One bad luck andnone death whilst repairing.
But the gun kills are back.

100% better! Got 4or5 rounds in and went close to 2-1 on all of them. Last round on firestorm being the exception. 3 /3 but all 3 kills came from main tank gun chopper kills.
 
IIRC, the bipod reduces recoil in the slightest because of the added weight on the front of the gun. Although if you're using a bipod for an AR or Carbine, it's usually for keeping the gun steady during medium-long range firefights. If I ever equip a bipod onto an AR or Carbine, it's usually to snipe with so I equip a Heavy Barrel as well. For example, I sometimes use the M16 as a Battle Rifle with a 6x/7x Scope, Heavy Barrel and Bipod and I single-shot with it. It's obviously not as powerful at longer ranges; but it's pretty good for ranges where a Holo sight won't help, but I sniper won't either. A good example of this range would be from Alpha to Bravo in Oman.

Yea its missing something. Foregrip + Suppressor i know this is fixed but it still works just great for me.

I'd recommend an ACOG for the same job, as to avoid scope glare and keep a better closer range capability as well 👍. Then again if you're playing on a relatively small screen that may not be practical for longer ranges.
 
It's PS3 only if I remember correctly.

I always use shotguns for some reason. 1 shot 1 kill ftw. They are perfect in close quarter battles. I rarely use any MG because of the amount of recoil lol. I mean I know you can fix this but it's annoying having to unlock them and I'm not buying the unlocks lol
 
Had an epic game earlier on Gulf of Oman. Joined the game and spawned in a Huey that had an epic pilot. Killed about 3 people at Veteran's Retreat on the gun, and parachuted out. Landed, went straight to prone about 100 metres away from Veteran's Retreat (B) and got my bipod out. Spotted a sniper in a window, killed him and an engineer who was about to shoot down the heli. Ran in, killed 2 more and a squadmate spawned on me and we took the objective.

Then there was a 5 second powercut... :mad:

Do you play core or hard core?

I am on PC and strictly play hardcore. I can not stand the fact you get "spotted" by the enemy and then have a triangle above your head which anyone on the entire map can shoot at and kill you.

Definitely play hardcore, I was on the ps3, but work has taken me away from that set up.

PS3 only on consoles because of the input lag issue on PS3 that will be fixed with the next patch and CQ DLC.

LMGs aren't that bad if you know how to use them properly.



My clan is based on IGN's PS3 lobby and lately we've had a random forum member complaining about how shotguns aren't one shot kills. :lol:

When we proved otherwise, he claimed we knew nothing about the mechanics of the game we have been playing since it released, and that we should have read the 120+ pages of our thread that he claimed we hadn't been posting in except for the last few days.

Also something about AEK, M16A3 and hip firing LMG abusers. Upon checking the guy's battlelog, it turns out he's an M26 spammer. We figure he thought shotguns worked the same way and when they didn't he turned into a baby about it.
 
Servers down for anyone else? Cant connect to EA Online and Battlelog isnt showing anything

Type 88 LMG. Right now it's my favourite weapon in support class.

I can't stand that gun. It lacks oomph. The PKP, 240B and M60E4 all perform better and the M249 fires faster. Each time I try using the type 88 I have to put it away out of frustration.

Have you tried the RPK? It has higher ROF, bigger mags, same damage, lower recoil (except for initial kick, but then its marginal) and has lower spread.

I do like the M60E4, and I might go back to that, but I seem to do better with the Type 88.

I'm not even sure if I've unlocked the RPK (have only really gotten back into BF3 recently) but I'll give it a try when I do/if I have.
