I use either the M98 or L96 already for long range and ive had the straight pull for both of them for awhile now but have less than 50 kills with either of the three i mentioned.
I was looking for abit of a run n gun sniper once i get the straight pull.
I started with the JNG90 lastnight but sounds like i'll either just rank up all three or start on the SV or M40 right away.

Had good kills with the JNG lastnight at Metro about 40 kills .
Under 150m it killed quick (i only do HC btw) but i hate the Russian 7x .
And btw how many does it take to get the straight pull again :D

M40's got a better cycle rate (you can shoot faster). SV98 has less drop IIRC. And I don't really like the JNG due to it's slow cycle rate.

For short-mid range sniping, or defending a base like in Damavand or Métro, use the M40. For longer engagements, use the SV98.

The JNG-90 has the highest bullet velocity out of those, according to Matimio’s sniper guide.
 
Damn such a tough choice...Do I buy one of the Rockstar PSN classics (Red Dead Revolver, Bully, Midnight Club 3, San Andreas, GTA 3), or do I buy BF3 maps...
 
I got some FPS Freeks for Christmas and I have to say that they help a lot. I use one on each controller, since I didn't find it necessary for strafing (left analogue stick). It helps a lot with your sensitivity due to leverage and that means that I can make smaller adjustments when aiming. So I can keep a sensitivity fast enough that I can easily turn on someone if I was in a CQC situation, slow enough that I can make minimal adjustments when sniping.

tl:dr I like FPS Freeks.
 
EA must have sold a lot of BF3 this Christmas - the servers are crawling with level 5 and under noobs.

Alternatively you can go to the new maps and get stomped by 100 star colonels :)

Of the three, the JNG-90 has the fastest bullet speed; damage wise, the three are the same; and the M40A5 has the fastest bolt cycle.

I prefer the M40A5 because I do not have to deal with the awful chevrons of the Russian scope until the 8x is unlocked. Each mil-dot on the 8x scope on the M40A5 is nearly 250 meters of drop. That makes it easy to gauge how much bullet drop to dial in.

Yup, seeing a lot of new players. I was pleasantly surprised. With all the FPS games that came out this year alone I wasn't expecting to see so many new players. The more the merrier. Besides, owning Christmas noobs is always fun.

EDIT: I'm on now so feel free to add me. Should be playing for a couple hours

I got it on Xbox (I already had it on PS3), Im dominating (MVP's every round except for Scavenger) and I'm level 7
 
Just had great fun trolling a helicopter pilot. I had run out of ammo on my IGLA but I pointed it at this guy's chopper and each time I got a lock he went for flares even though every time I had nothing to fire. :lol:

Did this about 20 times.
 
I think it is still quite funny, that there is still a lot of pilots who make such a mistake. However if a heatseeker is coming from the front or above, it is sometimes better to pop your flares a bit earlier.

Did this as well, was the gunner as i cannot pilot the viper at all, i just found out you can hellfire stationary ATs, amazingly i got so many kills nailing unsuspecting people on them:lol:.

Today i also realised the joy of ruining someone else's game, i joined a game of metro rush and saw there was a guy on the opposite team with a 85-6 kd, i wasn't doing it deliberately but i only seemed to be able to kill this one person and with RPGs it got to the point where i must have got him about 8/9 times in a row with an RPG so he rage quit, just so odd satisfying:sly:

I went out to get Battlefield 3 Complete Edition today and everything was sold out! I also learned that in the US it's $20 cheaper! What the hell. I guess I have to go to the US now.. :grumpy:

It can't be PS3 because the one guy in the squad has a space in his name. On PS3 you have to use underscores. So my guess is Xbox as well.

I was playing Rush as the defenders, and we just lost the last MCOM on Grand Bazaar. The attackers had 225 tickets, and they had 5 left. I almost destroyed my controller. (I rarely rage in video games, but this is just too much. We had held the other team off for over 30 minutes, and our defense suddenly decides to fall apart. AAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGHHHH

Either that, or the server had something to it. For example, I was playing CQ on one of DICE's servers. I get first blood, but the tickets stay at 150. We (our team) get a couple of more kills and the enemy loses ONE ticket. ONE of our guys dies, and our tickets start declining rapidly. When you look at the kill feed, we're getting more kills than the enemy team.
The game lasted 8 min.

WTF!
 
Killing someone does not lose their team a ticket. They're Respawn tickets for a reason - you lose one of them when you respawn. Reviving your teammate also saves using up a respawn ticket.
