How on earth can you afford that? Don't full-auto military rifles cost thousands of dollars before tax? I'm pretty sure that machine guns are illegal for individuals to own in New York state anyway...

There are Semi Auto ones also 👍 And they are 2-4k ish brand new. They may be older, and its Semi.

Bought in the '80s before the '90s ban. Was like $850. All of them were. Nowadays they are expensive but they were pretty cheap for a long time. This one has a selector switch on it and full auto is locked.

If it's semi-auto only (no select-fire, firing something other than 5.56mm NATO), it's not an M16.

Ah, so it's basically an AR-15. Are rifles with pistol grips banned in NYS or am I dreaming?

Basically in a nutshell yes but it's a genuine M16 just locked. Pistol grips aren't banned as far as I know.

Right now they are trying to ban any gun that looks like an assault rifle period. :/

Do you have any pics of your gun collection? Could you post some in the real guns thread? Or have you done that already?

I've taken pictures before but most of them are in a different location. The AR, AK and M16 are locked up, the AK is still in the original white box with 8 30 round mags all full with boxes and boxes of 7.62x39s that we use for everything. The SKS is in the cabinet with the rest of my shotguns, muzzleloaders, .22s, .17 HMR and a bunch of other guns. Also have a crossbow pistol that looks like this:

This isn't mine but this is basically what the SKS looked like and what it went to. Still have the fiberglass stock in the garage.

Edit for question: When any of you guys try to join a friend, and the screen goes black with that "Loading" logo appears at the bottom right; what do you guys do?

Great fun man. We pissed a lot of people off. I got more hate mail after you left.

And the loading screen thing. I just exit then start the game back up

Lol, I never can get hate mail on BF3. I get it on every other game I play.

When i try leaving the game and starting it back up, it just does the same thing.

Well, if I was on the other team, I would have been pissed myself. Lol.

I'll try that before I start playing BF3 later.
 
I have found that keeping the internet browser cache cleared makes my bf3 less prone to those random lockups. No idea why it makes a difference, it shouldnt. Maybe something to do with origin authentication.

Hate mail:
I get the occassional hate mail but not often. I tend to not troll around and incite it tho.

The other night i did go 17/1 against a clnl 100 who only had 19 deaths total for the round. Got invited to his clan ;) lol.

Well the thing was, we weren't even trolling. Russian side at Operation Metro, Ace, my other friend, and me were the only people running to C (doing all of the work as usual). We kept making it down to C.

We all pretty much stayed down there and kept taking C. My friend was standing right in the open at C, so we kept spawning off him. The enemy team just kept running right by him, which was quite funny. Anyway, after that round I get a message that says "you guys suck, your clan is trash" I just laughed and sent my usual reply "is there a cream for that". I love hatemail.

Nice. I have got a few clan invites. I just play the game for fun, so I have no interest in joining one
 
I alsonplay for fun. I am in a clan but its more just a consistent group of us. No battles or anything.

I'm not as good as I used to be when it comes to shooting people in the face, but I try nonetheless.

I had a clan, but the few friends that was in it with me stopped playing. So I ended up dropping it.

:lol: A similar thing happen to me the other day, was playing metro conquest with the M16A3 and was doing OK, I nemesis this one guy after picking up a shotgun and then came the hate mail, saying "all you've been using is the shotgun the whole round, noob"...:confused: A few mins later he rage quits after send a few more msg's, saying he's sick of the clan server.

With regards to trolling, i just don't do that really apart from throwing a few surprise parties which is usually worth the wait. This one time there were 4-5 of us hiding in a Van (Alpha at Metro) and an enemy turns around looks at us, he just paused for a few seconds and ran the opposite way.

Some really good matches. Really loving the crossbow. I also no longer knife people, I defibrillate.
 
It's all good it happens. Yea hopefully we can get some more in today. Hahaha the defib kills are great! One of the guys you zapped had just killed me so I got to watch him ride the lightening!
 
I swear on my life I hate baserapers. zezo998800 is one of them. Won't let any of us leave our base.. was 126-2 til one of us got him.

Now the rest of the team are all throwing their firepower at the spawn point so we're all trapped.

Dude ended with 133-3.

Awesome time with gatrs and dhundley tonight. That metro rush was a nail biter. Managed to overcome that "clan" though.
 
Had some fun at Metro just to get at least some use of the x2 XP weekend.

Did only get 212 000 points playing 2 rounds of 1400 ticket conquest! :p
 
I'm getting close to Colonel 100 (currently 98).

Once I get there, I fear that I will lose interest in playing as I will no longer have that goal to reach.

My thoughts are to practise flying the helicopter and jets as I suck at it. This will get me ready for BF4 (unless they change the flight mechanics!).
Or I can just troll the hell out of people for fun.

How do you stay focused after reaching Colonel 100 ?
 
You write your own class randomizer program. I'm not even close to Col.100, but I wrote a program in Python to randomly set up my class.
 
I hadn't thought of that. I generally play the same class with the same kit every game.

Maybe I should focus on using kits and classes I normally wouldn't.
