Much better night last night. Still organized teams but I could make alot of headway.

It's nice to have another class built up for when the battle calls for a change in tactics. Moving from assault to recon and back when needed is a wonderful thing. Especially when you see the other team using a spawn nest. Motar strike(s) to reduce the numbers than resupplying the firepoint(s) so they stay pinned down is good fun.

Red dot assault rifle is pure evil though...

 Sounds like youre taking a liking to Assault... What times do you usually play??? I see youre in New York so thats a 6 hour time difference with where Im at... If you play in the nightly hours Im afraid I wont see you unless Im up REALLY late or early :sly: in the weekend... :) If you play in the early afternoon you'll find most of us online though...

With an exception of me, I'm online on something or other til around 4-5AM at the moment, cus I'm hardcore . Only hitch is I can't be on my laptop and PS3 at the same time.

^^^ Yup thats Hardcore... I'm getting too old for that now :( I use to play til 4 or 5 am as well back in the day... I miss those days... Thanks for reminding me how old I am Dragonistic... :p

How old you are? You're hardly old buddy :) It's more of a reminder how silly I am  I haven't been doing much BC2 lately, just been playing around with the only 5 games I have left (sold the others as they collected dust). My collection right now is perfectly suited to me so whatever mood I'm in I have a based covered.

Hopefully I'll not be busy doing other things some time soon, starting to get Battlefield withdrawal.

Im 29.. :D Almost hitting the big 3-0! I dont really feel old... Just that when you get older you get those stupid extra responsiblities which eat up time I could be playing PS3... :p But hey, if I dont take care of them then I could NEVER play my PS3, because I wouldnt have one to play ... So I shouldnt complain ;)

Anyway, I must admit the skill level has gone up online in BFBC2. You might have read this already though, but the last few days weve had very tough matches and your expertise is always welcome :D:tup:

Expertise might be an overstatement, but I'll always do my best 👍 I may not be available tonight specifically as I'm seeing my girlfriend at some point, when I don't know though, but hopefully I'll be on properly some day soon.

Ya, assault is a nice compliment to recon and I've finding the game more enjoyable having two classes built up so I can move between them tactically or depending on the map/objective.

I'm usually online weeknights between 11pm-2am'ish EST. Weekends totally depends on what is going on (what my GF has planned for us, etc). I've seen you online a few times, but never able to connect with you.

Is there a set time (or close to it) that GTP'ers play online? Since so many avid GTP'ers are in Europe I am used to having to get online around 3-6pm EST, though I no longer can do that (oh the PAL GT5p days.)

Wow, a lot more changes than I expected, not happy about the damage reduction of the XM8LMG, M16 & G3 though:tdown:, but im really chuffed about the changes to the M60 and the Mortar Strike, they DESERVE it!!.:D

Reduced the lethal blast range of the ... M2CG to highlight their role as a secondary weapon against infantry.
Uh Oh, Cale's gonna be pissed.;)

Any of the XB360 players tried out the new uniforms/camo DLC?.

Wait...I'm confused. I've not found a solid answer to this anywhere.

The BC2 "update" (balancing/nerfing, depending on your perspective) has only happened on the PC side thus far? Xbox and PS3 are unaffected as of now? Or did DICE just tweak the server side of it all and thus it effects all platforms (methinks this is not the case).

Yep only PC so far, ive just read their official blog and it said: 'These changes will eventually make their way to the 360 and PS3 as we work with our partners Microsoft and Sony to continue to support BFBC2 on all platforms'. It does not have any information regarding when that is though.👍 Linky

That is what I thought. I've read all the links but the amount of whining/complaining on all the BC2 boards is a bit overwhelming and clouds the facts of the press release. Blah.

How is this possbile?

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

I read it yesterday and I was pissed. It did exactly what it was designed to do from the beginning. I also hate that the blast radius is smaller for 40mm also. I don't know why they changed every gun when only a couple actually needed work.

There are ways to cheat the reinforcement system.

Dude I'm 38 and just a big kid! Remember the difference between the men and the boys are the price of their toys!

When you release title updates to the consoles, the devs/publishers have to submit each patch in the same way they do with the actual title itself, to MS/Sony QA, these are costly processes and have to meet various criteria set out by MS/Sony (again, the criteria are similar to the title itself, thus the lengthy process). Not only will there be negotiations in the process regarding various areas, but it can generally take a couple of weeks (on average) to go through the QA process on console with MS/Sony once you've submitted.

It's one of the advantages that PC still has over consoles. With PC you can pretty much do what you want with regards to patching as a publisher/developer.

To get back to the point you raised, it'll probably be on consoles before mid-May.

Regarding the skill level lately it's been more or less the same since i started playing. Not sure how the rest of you have progressed through the game, but for me it was a steep climb. Even the very first day i tried online, i was being matched with lvl 19-23's. I must admit it wasn't fun :( I just dug in and learned the maps, observed tactics and often just tried to find good hiding places. There were times when i faced well organized enemies and other times were i found myself with a group of people who worked well together and win. So far it's still the same :)

do you guys play rush mostly? i've only got jazzabrandy on my friends list but never played with him.

honestly i can't stand conquest lol. i don't like running back and forth to something i already did.

starting to enjoy squad death match though. squad rush on the other hand not so much, rather play normal rush. which i love anyway

Most of the GTP matches I have been in have been Rush, I did Squad Rush with Mr_Geez yesterday. We rarely play conquest, but I do like to "run and gun" in conquest mode on occasion.

Just rented BC2 from the video store for four days; currently playing the first SP mission. I'm already enjoying it more than the beta :)

Rush is fun to make people move, but Conquest is good fun too, I think.

Squad Deathmatch is exactly like Conquest, but really no official center for people to actually engage in battle, more of a run around and try to find someone.

Lately I've played a lot of Hardcore and Core, and I've found I like Core so much more. People seem to care less about their k/d and don't camp hardly at all, which I enjoy. I loathe campers.

yea, i like hardcore in a sense the way the game plays to a certain extent. i just don't like how its riddled with snipers that never move. granted thats their job technically but its no fun when 1/2 their damn team play recon.

Yup 11pm-2am would be 5am-8am here in Holland... I'm sleeping by that time, you might meet Dragonistic online then though... :p As he stated earlier he's still gaming til the early morning. I'm usually on between 3-8pm EST... thats also the time when the others are usually on as well... some a bit earlier or later, but I bet if you come on around those times you'll meet more than enough GTPers to join.. :) Also, if you try to join me and it doesnt work just shoot me a message and we'll figure it out 👍

I am starting to make a list of all the BC2 players in the first page.

Not to mention when you're trying to play assault, and the rest of your squad is all Recon, and you spawn at the back of a base just trying to move forward

Also got my veteran status yesterday! After just having BFBC2 and BF1943!

I need to play with some of you guys though. Who plays the most often/with most other people? (to inevitably play with others)

I went back to EA's Battlefield2 site and they finally got their Veteran page updated, I finally got Veteran Status (2) by adding BF 1943. They also list your stats, etc on the page along with a watch list but of course it doesn't all work correctly (yet). I finally got to select my PSN EA ID instead of my old one from several years ago.

I'm looking forward to Nelson Bay squad deathmatch, but not looking forward to paying for skins :/

You and a friend be medic and run out of bounds one after the other. Keep reviving each other after the other dies. Suicide takes away no tickets but reviving still adds them.
