Hahah I see. I think for the most part, I have utilized all weapons to their extent I have used so far. I'm always learning new things, and I really wish I could double platinum certain things, like C4. I can't even get enough uses out of it and I'm a beast when it comes to tank or personal destruction

Edit: I played Onslaught tonight. And here's my thoughts

It's not worth $10 (maybe $5). But it is spectacular thus far (I played Valprazio and Atacama) both at different times of day (the shading is awesome) but the AI is tricky. I know they're mostly predetermined but just like I found with the campaign sometimes they could be too tricky and even quite good. Unexpected and seem to predict your movements. I played Valp on easy I think? And as I joined I couldn't shoot anyone (full UMP clip to the face, and then a clean solid knife, none of that lagtastic patched knife) and he only turned to knife me. So a guy in the squad said I should exit and rejoin. So this time instead of picking ANY and ANY, I was specific. Atacama Desert, Hardcore. So I join the game and I'm the only one. Slowly one by one the squad fills and it's not until then I decide to cross the starting line (marked by flares to start your official time) and since I'm a pretty darn good pilot I was ready to go in the chopper. So I'm killing people left and right. Way easier than hardcore online, I'm only using about half my missiles (my teammates jumped ship to fight on foot and ended up only getting about 9 kills total.) I ended up at the end with a mere 64 kills, basically using the chopper. Everything seems a bit easier though, despite still being 'hardcore.' Tanks were destroyed easier, and people died faster. I ended up losing the chopper and it wouldn't respawn, and eventually we lost the match (because if everyone in the squad is dead at the same time you lose.) So we play it again. A lot of the same goes on, I'm a loner in the heli, my team is on the ground fighting, maybe ending up with 15 kills at the end while I went 124/12. I probably would have gone 150/1 or 0 if a sniper didn't snipe me going into the last base (it seems they increased the aggressiveness of the AI there)

All in all though I absolutely LOVE the concept and I honestly hope they introduce a new kind of playing mode for BFBC3. It's like a hybrid of Rush and Conquest, where you capture flags to take over a base to move on, but you must clean out the base of enemies before you can do so. And it even got to the point they kept spawning at the base while my team wasn't capturing it, and I racked up an ungodly amount of kills since all the medics and engineers were shooting at me reveling their position.

My opinion/suggestion is you find a couple friends willing to throw down a few bucks for the mode, (those friends you'll probably be playing it with) and just share and download purchases from whomever buys it. It's how I got it and a SPECACT kit upgrade for free.

I will most likely download Onslaught this week, sounds like fun.

So do I, but if you're level 5 and pay $20 for all the weapons, are you even going to know what to do with half the weapons?

No intentions on buying those, not even tempted. I have unlocked the scopes, the red dot. The reddot is annoying and it takes getting used to, the scope took a while to learn but i use it all the time now on my sub machine gun. I use Assault and Engineer for now. Now rank 8.

I have not even touched single player......

Yeah I only used red dot for the longest time and now I don't know how I use it. I only really use the 4x on everything, and I'll use iron sights on engineer guns so I can utilize extra explosives, when I need them, otherwise I'll use a 4x scope. I can see and shoot people at unreasonable distances. I didn't touch single player for quite some time and finally worked my way through it. It was kind of difficult I thought because of the waves of people and how quickly I would die (I like to run around in the open shooting people/attacking) but it ended up not being too hard

Downloaded Onslaught Tonight, so far one lockup and one freeze up? Very interesting concept, although playing Normal is a tad to easy? Will bump up to Hard or Hardcore and try. Definitely have to work as a squad, almost impossible to accomplish by yourself or with two people. I do like the lighting on the maps, both Valpariso and Atacama Desert are awesome with the new lighting. I have yet to see Nelson Bay as the game froze up and didn't load, Isla Innocentes no real changes.

I'll buy Onslaught tonight.

Maybe we can all get on together. It's definitely interesting and Hardcore is pretty easy, but at the same time kind of difficult. You die very easily and they also die pretty easy

Actually... scratch that. My dad tripped over my mic cord and ripped it out. I can't stand playing with out a mic.

Lol fail. Bluetooth ftw

Lies! I hate playing with people using Bluetooth, I'm not sure how good yours is, but most have this terrible static sound ALL the time even when they're not trying to speak and it drives me nuts because I can't hear my own game properly.

Hmmmm Looks like its time to pick this game up again... Been on vacation for 10 days and havent played in while... Hows Onslaught mode? Worth buying?

-Edit: Scratch that, just saw Corey posted a nice little review up there.... ;)

I dont mind the occasional crackling sounds from Blu tooth users, you can not avoid someone else using it.

Just got this game today, along with a new bluetooth headset. Now, i'm waiting for the 450mb update to finish downloading :grumpy:

If you need a hand, drop me an invite 👍 Hit play with friends, create a squad and invite me, job done. That is if you're going online, even if I'm not on BC2 send the invite and I will reply if I don't join.

Should I bother with the single player mode yet, or just jump over to online first?

I make a habit of playing single player always before doing anything else if option is there. I see it as a warm up for online, helps you get adjusted to how the game moves and feels.

online made me better in single player, i feel l like i'm shooting real players. Hardcore DM will do that to you.

That's what I did with all the others too, but i'm really eager to play the online, and I think i'd do okay, since I've already got some good gun experience from Killzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

BC2 is a different ball game on a tactical front, the shooting itself feels more like KZ2 then Mw2 for sure, perhaps somewhere inbetween but definately leaning to KZ. The main problem is you start off with shoddy equipment, I have a friend who's probably going to join us so luckily you'll have one average squad-mate (him :lol) and myself who has access to all the equipment. We'll also be using headsets, and we'll not be in Hardcore I imagine, we'll also play the more linear game type to get you up to speed on how things work online.

Edit: Good few games pj, sorry I wasn't talking much I've come down a little ill in the past hour or so. I'll try be more helpful next time. Side note, the AEK is alot better then I remember, put a 4x on that and magnum ammo, fire it single shot style and it tears things up.

I want a new mic so I can play again. ARGH!

I don't think mine is bad at all, and the several guys I play with it isn't bad either. Their quality is pretty good on my end.

I hope it was helpful

Not when your dogs have either chewed the charging cord, or the earpiece itself... six times.

Hahaha maybe you shouldn't put it in the reach of your dogs? Mine aren't anywhere near their reach

I think the official one (note sure if you're using it) is decent enough, but I know from my own microphone that there is near no background noise other than that which I can already hear myself but when I play with one of the many people using a random bluetooth headset it means I can't hear anything but my own gun and other very loud sounds. I know Cales for example was decent enough .

I got a Beta key for Medal of Honor in my Email today, did anyone else get it? I didn't do a pre-order for the game either.

I'm guessing it's to do with the VIP scheme as they were able to use the beta earlier then others (even others with the code), perhaps they're randomly selecting VIP players. I was completely randomly selected for the God of War 3 demo a LONG time before it was due to come out on the store for all to try and I literally did nothing for that.

I know as well as others I can hear an echo of myself, and what's going on in their backgrounds most of the time, but usually when I'm not talking my little speaker icon isn't on and my tv isn't really up TOO loud. Mines just a normal cell phone bluetooth from the AT&T store when I got my phone

No no, I mean background noise added by the microphone like static and other mishaps. Obviously if for example my dog starts barking everyone hears it (though only loud noise like that), but they hear it clean and crisp .

I got it. It's fun 50% of the time and the other 50% it pisses you off.

Awesome, it will be like BBC2 then:tup:

I used a Bluetooth headset, I use a Jawbone 2 with noise cancelling. I also have a turtle beach headset we use on the 2nd PS3. The BT headsets, suck after awhile due to the short battery life.

I notice a couple of GTPers join me mid match today (Geez and PJ) hopefully you were having fun wrecking people like I was  I had about 4-5 people coming after me for revenge kills which just fed me more kills, my squad was randoms who were following my orders, given via select, and we had a good team overall.

My new thing which I've been doing is playing with correct weapons for the side I'm playing as which for me means AEK on Russians and M16 on US, the AN94 just doesn't feel right to me though it's a good weapon, I wanted something as close to a standard issue weapon as possible and the AEK feels right to me.
