The AEK is a badass gun I really liked it when I platinumed it
 
Too true, I really underated it first time around (pre-patch is perhaps to do with that) though it's not very powerful it has enough punch still and magnum ammo helps also. Of course in hardcore thats near irrelevant but I'm still not to sure about hardcore, especially not on Rush.
 
It's pretty fun. Ever since I've been playing with some new friends I have been trying to knife everyone (who has gold tags) usually. I only really go after 50s though. And with about 12 50s on my friends list, among 50s those 50s are friends with, it can get pretty fun. At one point we've got about 8 50s on one team, and 3 or so on the other. But it has changed the way I played Rush. I now want to knife people and try to rack up kills most of the time instead of blowing up everything.

But my only complaint as of late is when I try to knife someone. It just sucking trying to knife someone 3 damn times only for them to turn around and knife me or shoot me. But it seems like I have to be in the right place/position at the right time

Played Atacama Rush and didn't even realize it was a map pack.. lol
 
I actually like the idea that we're having the maps (even though they're already in the game) leaked to us steadily. Provides a little refreshment every so often though it's silly that they're linked to VIPs but it's not my problem as I am one.

I agree with you, although I see alot of Negative posts about the releases being considered new maps. Hey at least they are not charging us for them! I am really looking forward to Vietnam, I think it will be a great addition to the game. I wish they would have done more with Battlefield 1943 instead of just cutting it off all together.
 
Port Valdez conquest is fun. Overall the new maps are great.
 
Just finished playing a round each on both Atacama Desert Rush and Port Valdez Conquest. Enjoyed both, Port Valdez is like a "Cold" version of Atacama and utilizes Tanks, CAV, and helicopters. Atacama Desert Rush is just that, 4 set of M-con stations starting at flag location C, to B (ship), to A, to the defender's base. If you haven't played in a while it is definitely worth checking out:tup:
 
Yeah the new map pack is really out of the blue. I never seen a release date and is pretty close to the last map pack. From 2-3 it seems like it was over a month or even two, but these might've been 2-3 weeks apart.

Atacama Rush is weird.. It's nice but it's just so huge, and I'm used to Conquest, freely running around. Now there is the HIND and the badass Anti Air gun it almost cancels each other out. I play Port Valdez very briefly but I was getting spawn camped (by some mediocre pilots) and had my game not been super laggy I would've been glad to turn the game around

Really they should be considered more additions to the playlist rather then map packs, but being free it's not a big deal unless you bought used.

Speaking of 1943, Onslaught and 1943 can be purchased together now (forgot the price) on the store, I think it's between £10-15 but I can't be sure and I'm not sure how it translates for the rest of the world.
 
1943 is dead now. It's not really that fun anymore (especially since I've gotten used to BFBC2) so the low sensitivity and the sub machine gun/rocket but no pistol thing idk it's weird
 
I certainly didn't play on getting 1943 myself and still don't, but I figured some may be interested. Perhaps this DLC may boost '43 for a little while but probably not long before they get back on BC2 if they're fans of the series.

We played 1943 the other day just for fun, made it through Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima before going to BBC2. I miss flying the planes, I spent many an hour playing that game.
 
Yeah. It would be cool if it was still exciting though. It's what got me into Battlefield so it holds a special place in my heart. It was good fun for several months, but it's just not the same after so many months of BFBC2

Definetly agree with you there, It was 1943 that got my wife hooked on playing FPS games.
 
Yeah same here. I was never really a fan of them (only really played racing games) and when I discovered the joy of FPS' and shutting multiple kids down I was hooked
 
I should be getting this game soon (yay!), so can someone tell me how different it is from the first Bad Company? I'm not half bad there, but how hard will the transition be?

The transition should be easy. The techniques you learned in BC1 will still work in this game, but won't be as beneficial.

Played a couple a nice lag free rounds last night... Feels good to be on the battlefield again after a long hiatus :) To bad the team I was on sucked REALLY bad... Lots of low ranked players though with guns you usually get later on in my recollection... whats that all about?

You can download the packs for each kit or all of them for $19.99 U.S. so you don't have to work and unlock them. Honestly I can't see anyone paying this kind of money but I guess people do.

Have you tried Map pack 4? Atacama Desert Rush is awesome and Huge, Port Valdez Conquest is quite fun as well. Port Valdez is similiar to Atacama Conquest since it utilizes Heli's, tanks, jeeps, AA guns, etc.

AAAHHH I see... so you can just buy everything now... :lol: GREAT.... I havent played on the new maps yet.. hopefully over the weekend I can get some playing time again so I can play those maps... 👍 Sounds like fun!

I was checking out the BBC2 website, they finally got the Watch List up and running. You can now add your teammates PSN ID and track them, you can also check their profiles and see what they have completed. I haven't added everybody yet since my browser here at work is old Explorer 6.0 and it doesn't function very well. The also added a War Room tab (next to Watch List) that allows the user to create a strategy. Not sure what I would use this for, Run and Gun!👍 See y'all on the Battlefield.
 
Video from last night with some guys from a racing site called Race Factor. We were up till 5am playing it. :lol: What you do is put about 15 anti tank mines under a quad, Turn off team killing, and team stack. This will enable you to do the jumping across the map. :lol:



P.S It's always good sticking Tracer darts on people and shooting RPG's at them. :D

You can add me, My son and wife also play since we have two PS3's. We were on last night, I got spanked pretty hard I just could not seem to kill anyone? Although I experienced no lag, I had to use half a clip to take somebody out. My reticle was just flashing from the hits with no damage, I was fairly annoyed last night.
