Ditto.kennythebombTo be honest, I can usually tell from the thumbnail if a given picture will be at least fairly interesting. It has to grab my attention, first. Then out of those ones that did that, the one with best resolution and composition and all that usually takes my vote.
like someone said a GOOD picture could grab attention a mile away, or was it from the thumbnail, anyways, you people know what i mean. and some people really don't have that much time. (like me) i need to play counter-strike instead of voting in some silly competition (sarcasim)Brock5000Thank you to those who do take the time to look at each picture and give them fair and equal consideration. 👍
Slick6I open all of them when I vote. When I selected the top 20 for this past week (21), I opened every single entry just to be sure the full image is what the small thumbnail appears to be. 👍
treefingersi usually see all the pictures as they are being posted for the comp, so when the poll comes around i know what they look like and i only have to open a few that i already know i like to decide which one is best.
somebodyI used to open all the finalists before voting, but in the last few weeks I haven't been bothered.
Looking at the results so far gives a pretty clear indication that if you want to win a photomode comp you need to have a picture that looks good both in full size and as a thumbnail.

SRV2LOW4MEI do. I open them all in their own windows, then look at the picture, and close it if I don't like it, or leave it open if I do. Then go through them again and compare, closing whatever ones I feel aren't as good as another. Takes a while to do, but I find it fair since many people put a lot of time and effort into it.
