Awesome game where the physical and the damage is something revolutionary, actually I never saw anything like it in any game, I leave here a little video of it.

Crytek has nothing to do with this... It used to be on the CryEngine but switched over to Torque. I'm real close friends (And went to Highschool with) the guy who does the car modeling, also makes the videos and makes all the music. Hes the guy that makes sure that collisions are as realistic as possible.

Now why oh why can't they use this technology to remake the original Stuntman? The arena mode was the funnest thing in the world.

Just tried the tech demo and wow its amazing. You can snap tie rods, knock the axle off track, break the driveshaft. Best damage model i have ever seen since GTAIV. I literally turned my truck into a pancake and my next goal is to bend the car in two.

I downloaded the tech demo too. Not sure about the tire model but the physics are legit and the detail, down to individual components of the vehicle, is awesome. You can customize the truck by removing the doors/fenders or adding off-road parts, and like Silver-Sylph said, you can break the driveshaft and end up free-revving the engine, or snap a tie rod and drag a limp wheel around. It would be sweet to be able to build/rebuild the engine from parts like in Street Legal Racing: Redline.

I haven't tried it with a wheel yet, but if they've got that functionality going I might buy in. The environments from the videos look fun to explore; there's already a nifty cave passage with a wooden bridge in the techdemo map. I'd like to see what other obstacles they've come up with.

Do you have an old computer? Not sure, I haven't had a crash yet. It does often crash when my buddy is fine tuning the cars.

Soft body is the damage physics, not the handling physics.

I downloaded the tech demo last night to see for myself and the handling is much more realistic than I expected after watching the video in the op. The tyres seem a little iffy, like they're bouncing and hopping a bit more than I expected, but I still had great fun doing donuts in the RWD pickup. It would be cool if you could modify the vehicles a bit more, it looks like something that maybe be added in the future. I will try it with my g25 tonight to see if there's any ffb.

I've tried out the tech demo, I'm using a keyboard so I'm getting a bit of input lag when it comes to steering. Perhaps that might also be down to the fact I can't get more than 20fps...

Yeah, I noticed that too. I think the suspension parts might be a little too bendy...

Yeah I think you're right, some parts seem to vibrate a bit much, I can see the whole wheel vibrating when turning hard.
