If you're planning on buying a PS4, waiting is probably sensible as barely any of the wheels made for PS3/PC are compatible with the next gen hardware/software. Having said that, it's also a pretty good time to look for a used one for PS3 as so many people are offloading their wheels in order to move over to current gen equipment and bargains can be had. Ebay is a treasure trove if you don't have a lot to spend. I bought my "like new" DFGT for £13 (about US $20). Just took a little patience and a few low bids. Prior to that I was using one of the first Logitech FF wheels made for the PS2 which whilst not as good, still got the job done .
