Bored of the same old circuits? Tired of repeated seasonal events? Quick matches where the same 5 vehicles are always topping the leaderboard? Frustrated by the lack of DLC tracks and the long wait until GT Sport?

Well. There's an app for that. Modified Track Path Editor for GT6. In the hands of GTP's master crafters, this app plus some refreshing vehicle regulations opens a new world of racing.

My club, founded some months ago, hosts events like the Seasonal Time Trials - with a twist. For a number of weeks or months you can learn a brand new course with a set of lesser used racing cars, specifically chosen for it. And specifically designed to rule out the over-used choices.

SRF and Active Steering are always disabled. Driving Line is always available, to help find your way around. Traction Control and ABS are usually available.

This looks interesting:tup:. What type of vehicles are you going to use and can anyone join in?

Open to all. Comments in the club events give the available cars, if there are special restrictions. Look for the oldest comment, at the bottom of the comment history. You can view comments on the website or in the GT6 Community system.

Thanks for your interest. V8 Supercars at Oran Park is the easiest event to start with. Ford Falcon XR8 with standard tune, oil change and brake balance optional. 👍

EDIT: Would you mind removing the quote from your message, please? The first message is likely to change as the club develops, cheers.

Done.... and thanks. Being an Aussie and remembering Oran Park very well it was a very good place to start. After having a quick go, I think you're right with what you noted about DS3 and this car/track combo, and I think it might play into the favour of wheel users.

since it seems to be a club time trial, I'll join in
If we get toi race sometime, depending on the schedule, I can try to attend.

but gotta love the unusual picked cars part. that's the best part.

Seattle American Open is a new event using the eerie and nostalgic Seattle City remake by @BarneyA
68kksXdr0tVoWaz33i_0.jpg

Regulations are inspired by a GT2 licence test and one of its American muscle races. 550pp, Sports Hard, MR or FR drivetrains. November 2016 Pre-1980 American Cars seasonal at Trial Mountain gave the tyre choice. It means more people will have a vehicle ready to race.

Newer cars can be used in the club - I keep track of separate 'trophy' lists in the comments. MR, FR, road cars, race cars, Pre-1980 and so on will be separate leaderboards if people drive them!

Newest combination released and tested with @BEllis7979 with the biggest selection of wonderful racing cars yet.

Autopolis 600pp GT500 RH Multi

Patrick8308 found a steep enough hillside to thread this REAL track. Inspiration for Apricot Hill? Check the elevation resource map!

One leaderboard per manufacturer. How many teams can you race for during your career on this dream-like circuit with Japan's mos*****ched racing cars?

This is the Autopolis replica from March 2016 by @Patrick8308 which requires early apex, tight lines and a careful gas pedal.

Apart from the final compound corner - risky but faster to follow the left edge and then swing right to get straighter traction over the crest and onto the main straight.

Trying to get arty:

That track was a lot of fun to run. Great test of skill and track memory. I ended up in the sand or on the wall a couple of times because I forgot what I needed to be doing, and I love the final corner. You can bet where I ended up the first time 'round.

Apologies for neglecting this thread a little. There are a couple of new events and I'll put the details in a later message. Right now, I want to run the setup for my next event past anyone interested.

@BarneyA has made a tremendous version of Grindelwald after many, many attempts and lots of feedback from me.

I'm going to run it in my club for historic race and road cars between 1961 and 1971. No tuning, aside from what GT6 allows. Maximum tyres would be Sports Soft or maybe even less. (GT2 had a LOT of grip and these regs go from Lotus Europa to Toyota 7!)

1961 454pp Ferrari 250 GT
1962 474pp Ferrari 250 GTO
1963 580pp Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C2) Race Car
1964 535pp Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe
1965 486pp Alfa Romeo TZ2
1965 454pp Shelby GT350 (+1 for GT350R)
1966 582pp Jaguar XJ13
1967 606pp Chaparal 2D
1967 591pp Ferrari 330 P4
1967 588pp Ford Mark IV Race Car
1967 512pp Lamborgini Miura P400 Bertone Prototype
1968 375pp Lotus Europa S.2
1968 373pp Honda S800 RSC
1969 562pp Ford GT40 Race Car
1970 711pp Toyota 7
1970 663pp Chaparal 2J
1971 496pp Ferrari GTB4

Would anyone like to join me in a test room to try these on the track, online? Let me know if any of this works for you.

Weekdays: 6pm to 11pm UTC (7pm to midnight UK)
Saturday: 9am to ~midnight UTC (10am to early hours UK)
Sunday 1pm to 10pm (noon to 11pm UK)

Based on how it works I'll choose final regulations and create the club time trial. It will run for 2 or 3 months so there's time for lots of people to discover it and try different cars.

Tag people, spread the word. 👍

Saturday morning I might be able to help ya test out. Might yank out the Toyota 2000GT, as I love that car, or the Honda S800.
This Saturday morning I'll be on a train to visit my family. Combined celebration of Father's day from last week and my birthday for next week. If you or any on my PSN Friends see me online in GT6, send me a message saying Grindelwald and I'll make a room.

You can enter my club time trial on Grindelwald by BarneyA at any time, of course.

The gods of broadband have delivered  , i am of work for a week :D, i am in for, this. I saw you online last night, were you in a room? I have been in the warzone of the Trial Mountain QM :scared:

Can anyone else log into gran-turismo.com Community area on desktop? Hasn't worked for me during the past few days. Works fine on my phone, though.

The website is a fantastic way of managing a club. Creating leaderboards is simple copy and paste in events which are getting a lot of entries. Basically impossible to do this on the PS3. Phone doesn't show the car model people used to run the TT so I can't update that way, either.

Dont know of anyone else but I have had the same issue for about a week, dont really use my phone due to fat fingers
Same for me as well, no problems through PS3 or PS4, just can't log in on computer or tablet.

Edit: Is this what you're getting?

Edit 2: Hope you have a great birthday:cheers:

@8l23ub @FPV MIC yes that's exactly what I am seeing. I've tweeted to the Ask Sony UK support channel. They seem active, maybe it will get the ball rolling.

EDIT: It's been rainy but a really chilled day. Cycled to a business meeting in the morning. Going to a fitness thing this evening. Then a steak in a gastro pub. Everything in moderation.

Grindelwald 1961 to 1971
@Barney remade this so many times for me. No tuning. Try any car from each year between 1961 and 1971. Sports soft tyres, even on race cars. Already a huge number of entries here.

Renault Megane Trophy at Buggati (La Sarthe short circuit)
Creator of the impeccable Pikes Peak tarmac version used in my club recently, he has aced this surprisingly varied circuit from France. Textbook boredom on paper, tricky and diverse challenge behind the wheel.

Grindelwald Historic Festival
Leaderboard update - event ends 30 August 2017.

New event that I've wanted to run for a long time...

@da_b_mann brings the gravel GT2 rally to GT6 tarmac. Oil, brake and chassis prep is OK. Other tuning banned by FIA. F2, Group N and Group A. Open now and runs until the last day of November 2017.

My favourite full lap tests on GT's lost circuits. Finish your career the way you started it. There are a couple more I plan to add after I have archived the results from previous events.

GT1 IA-7 CM Griffith Route 11
Mr Grumpy revived this street circuit to end all street circuits. Paint your car white for authenticity and visibility! Oil and bias OK.
McXF3dmTN9aoJDGYBk_0.jpg

GT2 S-8 RH Evo VI Tahiti Maze
Tropical dirt tracks resurfaced by da_b_mann weave through sequences of hairpin bends and rolling sweepers. Oil and brake bias OK.
JA33SUbJrHk4sex3G_0.jpg

GT2 S-9 RH 155 DTM Rome Night
da_b_mann brings a hidden gem back into the moonlight. Screaming in the night...from the engine and from you! Oil and brake bias OK.

Tagging some friends. Add more as it's our last chance ever to run custom tracks in GT6 community clubs.

GT6's custom tracks came too late for me, I had already moved on.
I still have the layout of my old GT5 tracks though. The tracks themselves have gone I believe.
