Besides rarity, why is the Ford GT No Stripe so special?

I know, I know. I didn't have enough time to test them around the track, and I can't test them on the Nurb, as much as I'd like to. I need a bit more practice there first, I may just lap them around Trial mountain. Besides, we had been discussing straight-line speed at that point.

Yes, this is true. I didn't include G-Force numbers as I don't care, nobody else would care, and wheelspin can kind of be seen in 0-60 and 0-100 times. The other ford GT's were around .92 to .95 while the No stripe put down .99.

The No Stripe had drastically different aerodynamics in GT4. The 300 MPH Club had known it for a while, but no one had ever bothered to explain it to anyone else. It was actually a pretty big deal when it was found out, because the GT was used in one week of the Tuning Car Competition and I pointed out the glitch with the car to them somewhat late in the event, and it had to be restarted from the beginning with the No Stripe disqualified from it.



And since all of the cars in GT4 were carried over to GT5 unchanged, I'm guessing that the same glitch is in play.

Notes: No stripe was obviously fastest. '05 was mid pack in terms of speed and how easy it was to drive. The '02 did so well because it made me feel very confident. The '06 is actually a great car, but my lap wasn't great and it like to oversteer mare than the others. Just my findings. This helps show how fast they are around a track, not just in a straight line.

I guess we can come to a conclusion that the no stripes edition of the 2005 Ford GT is faster because it has older physics.

The No Stripe Ford GT is not a concept car, it was a road car that is still produced but just as a newer 2008 model. The Ford GT you see in the premium dealership is the 2008 model but it is possible to get a premium GT without stripes. We are talking about a standard Ford GT made in 2005 that doesn't come with stripes which just happens to have GT4's old physics (making it faster then other GT's in the game).

EDIT: I just looked in my USD and I just bought a No Stripe .

No, the '02 is the concept, as you can easily tell by it's different appearance and lower power figures. It doesn't have downforce either.

The No Stripe is a cool car and someone in a series that I race in uses it all the time and wins. I've tried it and see no difference performance wise from the Ford GT '06, but then again I'm not as good as that dude LOL.

I dont mean to go off topic but from what every one is saying about the no stripe being a port and never receiving a physics update. Is this the same reason why the gt-one lmp car is so much quicker than the other lmp.
