Well at the moment the fastest lap record I have for Laguna seca is from my 500bhp Corvette Z06.
or Opel Astra DTM would be nice.

This is a very vauge topic.

You need to come in very wide, start turning sooner than you think you need to, and slow down more than you think you need to. Just straighten it out as much as the track allows. After you do these counterintuitive things a few times and see that it works it will come naturally. That turn used to be the make-or-break turn for me on that track.

Have you tried using the right analog stick to accelerate and brake?

This might help, allowing you to adjust the amount of throttle you use when you are coming out of the corner.

Although if you are having problems with cornering have a go with some of the licences. They give you a good idea on how the cars handle.

Race Idiot is right on about using the stick to accelerate and brake. And like I said before, the GT One will stick to the ground and not drift much unless you really push it on hard tires. But a little "fish-tailing" around that corner is nothing to be ashamed of.

tm2003:

I used the Camaro racecar for the Beginner Stars & Stripes, because it was the only American car I owned at the time. It was pretty much a slaughter.

One thing you definitely need is at least T2 tires, or T4s. These really really improve your grip.

The next thing is a milefile said - brake early for most corners, and avoid braking while turning. You should brake early enough that you are back on the gas before the apex of the turn, after a brief pause for turn in. You'll be surprised how much that will smooth out your turns and speed up your laps.

You're very welcome! That's what most of us are here for!
;)

Best car for the track? I guess the F1 for no challenge?

i'd've imagine the viper and laguna as the classic combination. mazkid would probably suggest the 787b.

I tend to prefer something tail heave so i can get thru the corkscrew quicker...

the esprit is good as is anything with adjustable rear downforce like mitsu evos..

when you hit the crest of hthe hill up to the cork screw hit the brakes hard, then shift the gear 1 higher than normal for it to keep the revs low that way you can accelerate thru the corkscrewwwwwwww.... :)
