So far I have been beating this race fairly easily in the Genesis G70 Gr.4 with minor adjustments. However, are there any other cars that are any better to do this race in? I was thinking maybe of getting the Toyota Supra GT500 97 but is it actually worth it if I already have a car that I can comfortably win the race with? Would the difference be noticeable or fairly similar? 1.8 mil is a lot to spend simply for a few seconds of time difference.

maybe we could collect a top 5 LM cars that can do below 4 min and are fuel efficient? Obviously post 1.55 update

I have tried 3 cars in LM so far (787b, McLaren 750s and Porsche 911). McLaren was my work horse so far, but 911 has more „soul”, so I use it now more often.

I did a 4.03 with 911, but I am not an expert in LM.

This is the tune I used:

What are the cars post 1.55 that go below 4 min?

Will this be still ok after the 1.55 update?
Yes, it's the best one IMO for easy wins as it can go the entire race on FM1 due to the XJR9 engine being so good on fuel, with you only needing to stop for tire changes, though I still recommend short shifting around the halfway point of the RPM bar as the fuel will go quicker if you let it redline. My other best ones are the Subaru Impreza rally car and a detuned Escudo.

Perhaps some swapped cars now.
Try yesterday 2 cars from my favourites and realise that now they have even lower hp due to tyres!!!
Intermediate tyres alter the pp and you need to bring down the power to allow to use them in race .

To imagine the difference from the past , now are running at FM1 the way that was at FM6 at the past !!!!
Was racing cars , 92CP and 787 , don't know if that applies and at road cars .

Only by testing you will find out

Praiano is one of the best, if not the best

The truth is that Praiano was a legend at least here for many years .
All these years was free but now you have to pay for his work and i think he did it late .
Anyway he is a dedicated tunner and especially at gt7 that the physics are changing very often he had to do it all again and again.

Also these changes that take part every few updates remove all the interesting from other players that have the capability of tuning and the tunning sector is at his lowest point ever now.

My best times (not pushing during race.) with those

SWAP2 MITSUBISHI LANCER Evolution Final 15
SWAP MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOL V GSR 98
SWAP MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOL IV GSR 96
SUZUKI V8 Escudo Pikes Peak

Redoing all those tunes for every physics update is a lot of work, so yeah, I understand he's not doing it for free anymore.
Personally, I wouldn't pay for tunes though. I see no reason, I'm not doing anything on the game so competitive I need the absolutely best tune.

And especially in the context of this thread I don't really get it. There are so many cars you can easily win this race with on any difficulty setting. Lap time doesn't really matter much here IMO. Too many variables (tire condition, fuel, weather, other cars) anyway. If I go for lap times, I do it in time trial.
There is no "best car" for this race. But there are many good ones, many fun ones, and no matter which one you choose, it will take you at least 30 minutes to finish this race.
But hey, just my opinion, each to his own ofc.

I totally agree with you .
Truly there isn't any best car .
Best car is only pair with what someone look for.
