PM Me and ask
So lets get a list of the cars that are best for the new seasonal.

I'm sure most people will use the IS F Concept, but what other cars are good?

Your options are limited and you can probably win in any of the cars listed if tuned properly.

I just took my Calibra DTM, used before, it was way to easy on Racing soft, think I'll do it again on Sports softs with that car.

The R8 LMS Race Car Is great for this event but as already said any of the Gtc cars tuned would blitz it

I won fairly easily with the Audi Abt Audi TT-R Touring Car '02 and the Mercedes-Benz CLK Touring Car '00 as they come, no new parts whatsoever. The sound of that Audi is amazing!

I found the Merc. CLK was the most predictable but both the M3 GTR & the Alfa were very entertaining.

Ran it with the A4 purchased from the online dealership. I put Racing Med's on but I think the default spec racing hards would be enough if you don't mind putting in the effort.

Running it in the IS-F, but bought the M3 GTR for this. Gonna beat it with the Lexus, then have fun in the M3.

Just go into the OCD and take a look at the DTM cars there. I used the M3 GTR with racing hards (like the opponents) and gained 1st place on the 2nd last chicane on the final lap. Pretty fun racing

190E merc was too hard full tuned with racing hards, switched to racing soft and it was too easy, might try racing medium next time :p

The "real" challenge is de-tuning your dtm cars! And racing in Eigar reverse. But at least i could race with 190E

R8 LMS is not a DTM car oO

No it is not, but neither is the challenge... it is DTC and not DTM... and they are all Touring cars... including the LMS... it runs in the GT3 and the ALMS

The M3 is not a DTM car also... at least that version... neither is the Lexus... it is just a concept car and with that weight and HP it cant even run in the DTM series...

Much prefer the M3 GTR over the IS-F. I only wish I would have bought this car sooner. Not for this thread, but oh, how the M3 loves the Ring!

I wish there were some premium DTM cars other than the freaking IS-F (which was a rebodied Astra in real life but this won't stop you from getting booted from every DTM room in open lobby. Dudes is ignorant.). The Audis and 190 look okay but that CLK has been kicking around since GT3 and is just painful to look at.

edit: oh I used the 190. It can't roll with the newer cars on downforce (and thus PP) but it weighs only 980kg and handles like a charm. Very easy wins. Plus it looks and sounds great.

Used the 190e, Alfa and BMW GTR. The Merc is my favourite handling of the 3, like the power of the bmw and the quirkiness of the Alfa with 4wd. All easy to win with except on Eiger which was the only memorable race because it was made challenging.

Calibra Super Touring Car '94 is pretty fun, though it's not the fastest by any stretch. If you have trouble with how tail-happy the FR cars are (especially at Eiger while playing on a DS3...) it's worth a shot.

I've used the Mercedes 190, M3 GTR Race Car and one other so far. Without using a wheel I am able to win these events just barely without aids. With TC at 5 and stability assist on I can win easily with any of these cars.

As a comparison: I have yet to win even one of the expert challenges without a wheel. 2nd place in one of the Fiat events is the best I have done.

The Audi Abt TT-R Touring Car. I first raced one in Codies' TOCA Race Car DTM series and I fell in love with it, as soon as I saw it in the UCD in GT5 I snapped it up, nice to get a chance to finally race it. (That game at least had some "proper" DTM tracks to race on too, GT5's choices are bizaare to say the least)

The R8 GT3 from the OCD (Team playstation ver.) was my choice, since it hit 640pp.

I tried that 4WD Alfa, but it's kinda dry; as expected from the 4WD touring cars.

Both R8's in the ocd are well worth the money ........Hoping they get upgraded to premium in the future

The cheapest OCD DTM's are the best now. But in normal circumstances it is easily the ISF. These aren't normal circumstances now though... :indiff:

The CLK Touring monsters all the course's in the seasonal's by a long way (standard) ........Going to see how quick the R8's are as Standard

The Playstation R8 LMS is definitely my favourite. Easily wining each seasonal events by 12sec +. And with the the T500 ....... amazing 👍👍👍
