Never used one before will use it for f1 as well
As title says I can't afford a dear one so the best "budget" steering wheel

Amazon.com is showing the Logitech Driving Force GT at New for $99.99.

Probably the cheapest non-used one you will find.

Pedals aren't that great, but it works.

I would say Logitech DFGT, as you can find it for $75 on Amazon.com

As I'm in England that would be around £60 as I rough estimate I was thinking below that the 100 dollar one

The DFGT is £80 in the UK and you don't want anything lesser than that, because wheels cheaper than that have no force feedback. No force feedback, no point.

You should wait until you have the money to buy a good or great steering. You may end up buying a cheap one that you'll hate. Buy something cheap to play a cheap game, buy something top notch to play GT5.

Patience is a virtue.

DFGT reconditioned from overstock dot com 79.99 I payed for the two year warranty.

For the price get the DFGT!!
And get it new not second hand as you don't know how hard it's been used.

I agree completely. I own a DFGT which is a great wheel and perfect when I was starting out, but I was recently visiting a colleague...he suggested I try his G27 - I really wish I had one of those now.

DFGT is by far the benchmark for budget wheel users. I had one for a year and loved it before upgrading to a G27 which has been fantastic as well. You can't go wrong with either honestly. Like others say if you can stretch the budget then do so, think of it as an investment.

Get the g27 best wheel for the $

Definitely go for the DFGT, it's an amazing wheel for the money. Any cheaper models will be disappointing. The wheel itself is fantastic. It's got great force feedback and dials that let you adjust traction control, ABS, and other parameters in game. The paddle buttons on the back are kinda lame but the Granturgismo paddles make a huge difference. The biggest letdown of the DFGT are the pedals; they're a bit flimsy. There's a pretty simple mod you can do to stiffen them up a bit if it bugs you. If you want 3 pedals and a gated shifter you'll want a G27, but they are significantly more expensive. DFGT is currently $99.99 on Amazon and the G27 is $234.99.

Check ebay. I won a used DFGT there recently for $30 shipped. Can't beat that for a good and cheap starter wheel for the PC and/or PS3. I'm going to take the money I've been saving for a better wheel (before I found the DFGT so cheap) and put it toward some really good pedals like used Clubsports, CSR Elite pedals, or the new Clubsport V2 pedals.

$30.00 you scored big time! I purchased one from overstock with a 2yr warranty for well under a $100.00 USD.

Thanks. I'm still surprised. I have been putting back some cash every week saving up for a good wheel like a Fanatec CSR or GT3RS or a Logitech G27. Part of that was watching ebay for deals on those and also if a good deal on a DFGT caught my eye. I've bidded on a few over the past few weeks but when they got up to $60 or so, I stopped. That's to close to the price of a new one on Amazon.

This one I'm still a bit shocked it didn't jump from $30 to $60 in the last 10 mins of bidding like they usually do.

It seems to work really well. Looks in great condition. I played some DIRT 3 on the PC already and will try it later on my PS3 with GT5-P.

To anyone looking for a cheap wheel, ebay can be a great place to find one if you have some patience.

Next project, try to luck into a good deal on some Clubsport pedals :)
