well.......... Ibiza Cupra :P

Yes, I really love this car. A balanced and twirky car that can be driven as a rwd (almost). Just play with the weight balance, brake balance up to 2-8 and he's up for good battles. His performance (BHP/weight/PPoints) is very good and competitive too, to other cars in his league. Really enjoyed this car in a hot hatch challenge 👍

106 Rallye is fun but for higher pp I always use the trd m celica or an integra. I prefer to use the celica as I have one but not the trd m model..

I'd through the Prelude Si into the group up to 450pp and the Daihatsu Storia is great at 400pp (Not Spoon great) as well as the Honda 1300 Coupe.

I like the DC2R for its scalpel-like application; it's slow by modern standards, mostly due to its small engine, but it's so perfectly poised (for my tastes). The FTO GPX makes for a good match, although it tends to wag its tail a bit more and is a lot softer, so your focus is more on controlling the wobble rather than carving the perfect line.

That said, the Alfa 147 GTA has a certain madness to it that is utterly compelling, and I seem to remember the Renault Avantime was a bit of a surprising entertainment, too.

I just wish there were more appropriate places to use these "slower" cars in the game; tracks like the Parises, Costa di Amalfi and Citta di Aria in GT4 were cracking, and the course maker in GT5 was a passable replacement. Come on Ronda!

@Mongbean84 - no need to double/quadruple post; you can multi-quote with the + Quote button, or hit Reply to each post you'd wish to respond to; the board will add them into the reply box 👍

Gotta agree with @Griffith500 on the DC2R. Still one of my favourites, even if it feels a bit soft and old-school in comparison to the DC5. It's more fun! The GP version R, er, version of the FTO is my preferred one, as it's a bit firmer and lighter than the GPX. The balance is more entertaining than the DC2, but probably not as optimal for fast laps.

Is the Dodge Neon SRT4 any good?

In real life, they were quite underrated and could make a lot of power with just a few mods.

The Dodge Neon has shocking brakes and understeer, considering what it was like in GT5 it's a massive letdown.

The Scirocco R is my favorite car in the game. I have used it to win every career/seasonal race that it is allowed in, only one I can't get is the 24 minutes of le mans :grumpy:, not enough top speed.

I think I've erased all doubt now. SRT4 is champion of the FF's, with the Eclipse '06 close behind.

Its certainly one of the most fun FF car to drive, if not the most, for me. Handles very well and has a playful rear end, similar to the FR cars but it doesnt spin out.

Another one for the list.

Fully tuned Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '99

FF cars in GT6 are boring imo. They lack the twitchyness if you know what I mean.

Part of the allure of FF's to me is that you can't spin them out. Well you can, but you have to try REEEEEEEEALLY hard. It's fun to get the corners just right so you can power out full throttle to the outside without any fussing with the wheel.

If they're boring, it's because you don't know how to drive them fast enough.

The fastest stock FF around Suzuka Circuit is the VW Scirocco, followed by the Ford Focus RS '02. Try to pull off a low 2:25 or high 2:24 time on SH tires without an oil change with either car. Once you can do that, you shouldn't find FF's to be boring anymore.

Uhm, no, I think they're boring because I prefeer RWD that oversteer because I like tailhappy cars to help steer better. Having said that, not ALL FWD are boring, obviously. But they tend to understeer and I hate that

Yeah i miss the lift-off oversteer on FF's in GT, to the point i sometimes use CM on the rear and CS on the front. But there are some fun in some FFs especially if you find a good tune for them.

That's why i like the CR-X, it has a bit of oversteer on it.

My J's Racing FF cars, like Honda Fit RS Turbo and TODA Racing FD2 Civic Type R, 1:04s at 450PP on CS with stock gearing :D
The Honda Fit RS is such an underrated car performance wise, just because it was the first cheap car that the game forced you to buy. Around 400PP or a bit more, its a fast car.

Yeah, amongst some others. Some cars like the Focus RS, the Suzuki S2 concept or the VW Scirocco have a quite even weight distribution so that makes the understeer disappear.

A well built FF car even with real life distribution at 62/38 can handle well with little understeer on comfort tires :) The Fit RS 450PP is an example of this and several others ( J's Racing replica and HKS Toyota bB- often forgotten but very fun little pocket rocket :D )

The Mitsubishi FTO is a kickass FWD car when tuned right. It can stay tight in the corners and I find that it has a good balance in terms of power to weight. Won quite a few races with it. The Pug 106 is another good handling car but the straightaway speed is a little underwhelming in higher PP configurations. I never use ABS and almost always run them on comfort tires which usually brings out the worst in FF cars, but they are pretty good on low-grip tires.

I owned 2 Del Sol's in real life, one SOHC 1.6L 127 hp and the other DOHC 1.6L 160 hp which was pretty much the same as the SiR. It's the slowest "R" Honda in the game but it's so funky and fresh, even today.
