Hey, a group of Haitians is easier to run over than one by himself! :D

Just don't find yourself taking a stroll through Little Haiti with low health!

But it's fun when you kill a Diablo or whatever, and their gang and gang cars come after you. It's entertaining.

Yeah, I hate that the gang cars don't chase after you on Vice. On 3 they were more of a challenge than the police.

Exactly. I'm really looking forward to the new system with gangs, how they attack from different angles and try to outsmart you, instead of going straight for the kill. It'll be a nice challenge, keep you thinking with your brain, not just your fingers.

The dark, sort of "Gang/Criminal Underworld" is one of the best things about GTA III, but the City, the better gang story, etc was great, too. I mean, Vice City had a good storyline, much better than GTA III, but GTA III's storyline was better as a gang storyline I think. It's just a fun story.

Especially after the latest trailer. Rockstar build anticipation well.

I've just watched it. That trailer said more than a thousand screenshots or rumours ever could.

Now I've just gotta wait a whole goddamned month to get the game.

And I'm in the final year of my college diploma. I've got Christmas exams, Easter exams, final exams and a major project to do in the next year. How the hell am I gonna find time for hundreds of hours of San Andreas.

Grumble grumble.

KM.

I'm in my last year of senior high school, and we're gonna have lots of stuff to do...but I'll find ALOT of time for San Andreas, I know I will.

This makes me wonder. Rockstar should make a new PS2 version of Grand Theft Auto London 1969. That'd be so retro.👍

Oh god no. London 1969 was just terrible. I think for the PS3 they combine all 3 cities in 1 game, and make it possible to fly to each. Set it all in the present, so change a few things, and make a big storyline out of that with a new person, but still involve CJ, Tommy Vercetti and the GTA III guy. This would make for one hell of a game, and I think quite possible with some hard work as the PS3 would surely be able to handle this.

Well I got into GTA 3 not long ago, but I've decided not to play GTA until San Andreas. These are some things I noticed I liked more in GTA 3 than Vice City:

  • I liked the Car Handling better.
  • Storyline was much better, more fun, and more of a challenge.
  • The Mafia.
  • The people were generally better (although I wish the main character spoke).
  • Chatterbox and K-Jah.
  • AK47.
  • Kuruma.
  • The way the main character walks with large guns.
  • More of an underworld feel. Less bright and cheerful, and more gang-like.
  • Hills.
  • Bigger Map and 3 islands.
  • Trains.

indeed :scared:

Yeah, well of course there are advantages with Vice City, especially the new features and extensions on the features, but this is coming from a personal point of view. If they had of made GTA 3 in Vice City, and made Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City, and included all of the improvements and additions from Vice City into Liberty City, then GTA: Liberty City would have been a kick ass game.

yeah to right... the streets are so much better on gta3... and in someways the cars are better.. the old banshee kicks ass

Yeah, I just think the handling of a lot of cars are alot better. There are too many cars that handle like the Cheetah or similar to it, in Vice City, where in GTA 3 there's only a couple at most.

I also noticed that in GTA 3, with the slower cars, changing from Reverse to Forward takes a little longer. More realistic in my opinion.

Shouldn't happen, neither game is coded differently in terms of how long it takes to change gears.

You want to use some grammer there?

I like the VC banshee better, I hope they include it as a different model in the game.

Yeah, you and your famous/infamous Blue Banshee.

I like the GTA 3 Banshee. It's nice. Still, I like the Vice City Banshee better, as I love Corvettes and it reminds me of one.

I love that car, I think they'll have that car in SA, just under a different name. I hope they do :scared:

I dunno so much. They might have something close, or similar. Like another Corvette-style car. But who knows. Anyway, I don't think this is the right place to be discussing San Andreas. Any replies to anything San Andreas, quote this and reply in the Off-Topic GTA Thread.

Vice City. The most exciting part of that game when I got it was the Helicopter!!!! When I first got the game I played nonstop until I finally got it!! It was sooo much better than the DODO plane from GT3. To some people it might not seem like much but the helicopter just made the game incredible! I used to fly around for hours just smiling at the Vice City world and listing to V-Rock. :) :)

Yeah, I used to drive around for hours, aimlessly, just watching the City in my Stallion (or whatever car I had at the time). It was just interesting to watch how Vice City's cogs turned.

When Vice city came out I used 2 weeks worth of vacation days. I was only going to use 1 week but ended up being 2. It didnt help that NFS:HP and Timesplitters 2 came out around the same time. Sure was a great 2 weeks! Sorry started to fade off topic--DOH!

That's okay. I just played Vice City every moment I could. So did Blake. We played so much Vice City when it first came out, and for the next year and a half.

Ditto. Vice city kept me busy for a while to say the least.
