It's called an SMG in San Andreas, not an MP5 like Vice City. Well, in my copy of the game at least. Of all the weapons I've tried, it's my fave for a number of reasons:

• Fair amount of damage to enemies.
• Ammo is abundant (you can get ammo for it by walking over other machine guns like the Tec 9).
• You can sprint with it.
• I like sub-machine guns in general.

Dual pistols & Dual Sawn off shotguns are so cool but hardly the best. In terms accurate killing speed and power the M4 is a clear winner, but it's rather expensive and you can't run with it.

So IMO the best weapon in S.A. is the MP5, for the same reasons that Shannon listed.

+ that it can be used for drive-bys and also for in from of you on bikes.

Probably the SMG, for the reasons listed above it just seems a cut above the rest for over all killing purposes.

Well, the best Dual-Wield weapon in my opinion (that I've tried) is the Micro-SMG. I want to try the Dual-Wield Sawn-Offs. I haven't even tried the Sawn-Off on it's own, let alone Dual-Wield them.

Still, I can't go past the AK47. Effective killing machine.

I use the M4 or MP5 nearly all the time. The M4 makes missions where you have to kill lots of people so easy. It's got decent range and can kill people at short range with one or two shots.

MP5 is a great weapon, but I have to vote for the M4. It's got better range, and more power. It's the best all around gun in the game.

SMG definitely. AK's firing rate is a tad slow for me. I aim and shoot and switch right away. With the AK's firing rate, I'm at a disadvantage, whereas with the SMG, it's *hold button, switch switch switch* everyone's dead. =)

The gun and the weapon category are called SMG. I don't know why they didn't called it an MP5. They did in Vice City and other guns like the Desert Eagle, M4 and AK47 have their proper names. And the Uzi isn't called an Uzi any more either. It's a Micro SMG.

Up close and personal; the Combat Shotgun, maybe the Desert Eagle (one shot kill). From a distance; the M4 mainly because it has a bigger clip than the AK47. In car/bike; the SMG (MP5). Dual weapons; the pistols simply because the reload with the Uzi's and sawn-offs take too long. Best weapon for total destruction; either the rocket launcher or mini-gun!

Desert Eagle

It's a shame they did not include it as a dual-wielding weapon but it's still awesome without that option. I've gotten one hit kills on guys on top of roofs! It's because I got it on Hitman level, it's almost as good as the AK on Hitman.

It is! You can get one hit kills in the torso from a good amount of feet or meters away. I loved it. But I don't know why it isn't sold in ammu-nations and I can't use it. It's located in SF and I'm in LV. Unless someone knows a location of it in LV?

For Auto-Aim kills, the AK is great, but since a lot of the time I am using manual aim I stick to the M4 Colt.
I voted M4-A1 also because it makes a nice solid sound.

Nothin' beats a Flamethrower in large crowds though

Yeah, I like how the fire doesn't just disappear right away. 👍 I once tried to catch the Cluckin bell on fire.

You can get the MP5 from Ammu-Nation. And the Desert Eagle should be there, too (Blackbird). I don't know what happened there. I buy it from there all the time.

You have to be a fair way through the storyline for it to be there though, I wanted it so much but now that I've used it a bit I haven't found it that great, but I'll try to hitman it one of these days.
