Yeah, I noticed it with the Pistol and Silenced Pistol, but I thought it was only with them as they were the same gun basically. But with these other guns, it's a good new feature. And the fact that they don't replace the original gun is even better.

Yeah, you have to hold L1 for it to change guns.

Yeah, which is great. And special items such as Parachutes and Flowers, you have to press L1 anyway, even if you don't have another item in that slot. I think in certain aspects, you do that with weapons too. Rockstar have done a pretty good job there, I think.

I just maxed my skill with the sawn off shotgun. It's pretty damn sweet with the double wield. I spent about 10,000 dollars on them then ran around SF creating havoc.

just get all tags and you can go to CJ's house and pick up the ammo yourself.

Also when you switch weapons that use the same ammo (shotguns, AK/M4) you keep the ammo but the gun changes. so if i had 3000 sawn off shotgun ammo and i wanted a combat shotgun i press L1 and i will have about 3200 (200 coming from the combat pickup) and a combat shotgun so its really good

Can't you just run over the other gun and get the ammunition from it then, instead of changing weapons? You can do this with the AK47/M4.

He said "AND press L1"..the idea was that the combat shotgun is better, so he's glad to pick that up, but extra glad he can keep his ammo. I'm pretty sure that's what he meant anyway.

My second favourite gun is now Dual Wield Micro-MP5s. It look awesome, it's quite effective, and there are some advantages of using light one-handed guns. AK47 still rules, but for my storyline, I'll be using Dual-Wield Micro-MP5s for combat.

I found the heat seeking missile launcher today in that rubble town in the desert. The only problem was I had to get the normal launcher for the mission where you protect the smugglers helicopter

A question: What is the easiest way to get your skill up with a weapon?

Stand in an intersection in Red Country and shoot as many cars as you can. Especially the gas tank.

Is there any way that you won't get the cops on you?

Get in a secluded intersection and wait for cops to go by and then start shooting again. If you get a star, stop shooting and wait for the star to go away.

A quicker way is to steal a tank, get the cops off you, and shoot at it untill you get hitman. Every shot then is a hit, plus your using manual aim, get you hitman pretty quickly.

I like Blake's way. I never thought of that. I should have, considering it got your Accuracy up in GTA 3 and Vice City.

I want to change my vote.

I've just gotten Hitman with the Desert Eagle. It's easily the best weapon. You can't go wrong with one hit kills from the other end of the street, along with being able to sprint with it and only costs $1200 per round at Ammunation. My only gripe is that it only fires 7 shots per round and it has a slow reload rate. Still, being able to take over gang turf without getting hit yourself is major 👍.

I find that simply using your weapons in Missions or Gang wars helps no end... in fact now that I'm doing the Gang wars again I think that I will get as many weapons upto Hitman as possible... Only got Desert Eagle, Silenced Pistol and the two Shotguns to do (Normal Shotgun is Hitman courtesy of a police battle!!)

Another method I used was have a police battle in the San Fierro Garage... Stay under the roof as it keeps the chopper away and kill as many cops as you can... when you're close to dieing/getting overrun... grab the disk and save.

To get my weapons up to Hitman and I just go on a big cop shooting spree. I'm going out with Katie and Barbara, so getting Wasted/Busted is the least of my problems (they get you out of hospital/jail for free and let you keep your weapons). I usually just go for a spree at the train station opposite the garage you start San Fierro from. That way I can just run onto the train tracks underneath the shelter to stop helicopters from appearing. The cops will only come at you from the steps of the actual station, so you can just sit there and lock on without worrying about any cops attacking from behind/helicopter.

Oh, and killing cops also increases your Respect. 👍

Not quite... yours is a different method... mine is underneath the Garage roof... yours is at the train station across the road... the problem with the Garage is that sometimes cops spawn to the side of you and get some shots in before you know they are there... this Train Station method sounds as though it might be a little safer... although it's downside is that it is further away from the Save Point?!

There's a vending machine outside of the train station. There's also an armour pickup directly behind the train station (along the wall of that redish colour building with the chain link fence and semi-trailer).

Although, cops shouldn't even be able to get close enough to get a shot in if your weapon has a decent lock-on range.

I think yeti is talking about the little roof that extends over the save floppy... not the garge you park your cars in.

Well it's not a very big roof, so I would think the Chopper would be able to shoot at you easily...

No, it doesn't. I've had cop shootouts from under that roof many times and the chopper doesn't appear.

Yeah Chopper doesn't come cos it knows that it can't see you... if you hang around outside for too long you can hear it in the distance but will go away again when you get under the roof!!

Works a treat... Standing in your car garage is naff as the Camera will always be looking at you!!

- do it like a man by taking out the rival gang members in the territorial gang wars!

i'm at hitman level with most of my weapons using this method - and i've only just been taken to 'the middle of no where' by officer tenpenny!

Uhh, I've taken over all territories. I just want the rest of my guns at Hitman level. I have AK47 and Micro-SMGs at Hitman (which I used in the Gang Wars). A lot of the other guns are at Hitman. Some are at Poor.

And I want to use a method which means I'm not always running, getting killed or thinking too much. I just want an easy way to get up my Weapon Skill Level. It's not about "being a man", more or less finding an easy way. It's also a good way to get kills up.

Running and gunning in Cop Chases is for fun. This is for Stats.

Now that I've returned to LS and have been doing the Gang Wars again I've been using the Desert Eagle for them... Very almost at Hitman and it already kicks ass... cept for the slow reloading... apart from that I was taking the Ballas down within seconds of them getting in range... very occasionally CJ misses the target but generally they go down with one shot. Awesome.

Also started trying to get the combat shotgun upto speed... Such an awesome weapon I have to say... 7 quick fire blasts of Shotgun death within seconds!! Shame it's range is lacking at the moment!! I can't believe that I've only just found this weapon!!
