Not a problem. :) I'm pretty sure that there aren't any anime girls on that site that are actually in an anime but like you said, "cool original illustrations done really good."
 
I like Naomi Flugal from Zoids Shinseiki (aka: Zoids New Century Zero, not that little kid zoids cartoon). Here she is in Battle uniform:

They are from ZOIDS Shinseik (Shinseik is Japanese for New Century Zero). I like it alot, better than the more child cartoonish ZOIDS Chaotic Century. Shinseik is based on Zoid battles with teams which I like, other than the Zoids at war in Chaotic Century. Plus the girls look better ;)...

Yeah, I love anime. Im into certain anime's though. Gundam Wing (and the like) seemed too Soap Opera too me. DBZ was alright but it got tiring after waiting for 5 episodes for him to power up his move just for it to either:

1. Miss
2. Doesnt effect the d*mn guy
3. It hits but the guy heals himself.
Dont get me wrong, there are a few eposodes of both I like.

Oh, and although they arent really anime's, you gotta love the Roadrunner and Wile Coyote (sp) :lol:. He must have a gold membership with Acme...

anther "cool" girl is Nadia, from Nadia, the secret of blue water, the famous anime by gainax on wich disney is said to have copied to make Atlantis. this isnt true, but who cares? nadia's character design is by YOSHIYUKI SADAMOTO. he of Evangelion fame. yes, these charas were made by the dude that brought us Rei ayanami, Asuka, and all the bunch. his art is simply FLAWLESS. here is a cool link to some Nadia gallery (BIG-ASS pics) and some other works by yoshiyuki Sadamoto. click it! really, do it.

I think they used "alpha" to refer to the section of drawings by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. anyway, I think those pics are from Nadia, a series of OVAS by Gainax that are said to have served for inspiration ( too much inspiration, some say) to Disney to make atlantis.

yeah, the character design is good, but I think that major props go for the IMPRESSIVE ART by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. it just reels you in :D

well...my favorite all time love of anime was Mitsune Konno (Kitsune) for a while,and also Asuka Langley...they both looked sooooooo extremely cute,and I also liked Lina Inverse a whoooole lot as well ^_______^!!So as of right now...my favorite girl anime character that I look at and say,"OH MY GOD!!!" then drool all over myself and have to change my pants to..no,I'm kidding,hahahaha!But ANYWAYS...the best lookin' anime girl (she used to be just a game girl,but when she featured in Street Fighter Zero (or Alpha if you live in the states) then that changed) I think is SAKURA KASUGANO *DROOLS* ^___________^.Kawaii!!

she is the best girl to come out of capcom, to me most of their other girls are butch *cough* chun li, morrigan.... but yeah sakura is cool.
