Best looking rally car

A few of my personal favourites would be: Ford RS200 '86; Lancia Stratos; Ford Escort WRC '98; Ford Escort RS Cosworth '94; Lancia Delta HF 4WD '87 in just about that order. I never really understood how the Peugeot 206 WRC was ever seen as much of a looker, as many deemed it at the time that it was campaigning.

Of today's works crop, I'd say the C4 certainly shades the Focus.

I was gonna post the successor to the Audi Quattro S1, it was never even tested by Audi and sits in a museum now.

Does anyone have a pic? It looks like a Ford RS200 mixed with a SWB Quattro.

I am a fan of the classic Ford Escort, likely already posted. The older RS models have a lot more appeal than the squared-up offerings of later years:

I thought it was only the 288 GTO... shows what I know. I like it; it has the wedge shape, but is much more balanced than the Stratos, creating a beautiful shape that is even more expressive than the extreme wedge of the original purveyor that was the Lancia.

Mitsubishi will not return to WRC in the next few years anyway because it's too late to start a new car and develop it before WRCs are banned.Maybe an S2000 though.
