So whats the best stock cars for drifting? Changing tyres is ok.

Personally I like the Rx-7 FD and the Plymouth Superbird.

Im not a big fan of drifting bone stock, but I suppose the 2010 Camaro isnt too bad. Some comfort hard tires and a trip around the Top Gear track is surprisingly one of the best times Ive had on GT5.

Id say the Ferrari .. i forget its name... but its a tuned version of another one. the uhh... IDK BUT IT HAS A RACING STRIPE

I like the Opera Performance 350Z and the TVR Cerbera Speed Six. I don't know how well they perform on the steering wheel, but nice and balanced on DS3.

I love to drift the 5 stock LFAs that I have. I have another fully tuned LFA (except exhaust) but it's not a good drift car.

Edit: No_charge_No I think you're talking about the 430 Scuderia.

the Normal version is called the F430, and you are talking bout the F430 Scuderia :)

AE86 S.S. version! I can drive that thing alllll day stock! Probably wouldn't even have to change the tires :)

Well, aside from removing the stupid toe out that the game puts on the rear wheels by default. I understand they did that to help the DS3 players achieve quick turn-in with imprecise steering controls, but on a wheel it just makes the car very unstable.

Just a heads up: Positive number = toe in, negative number = toe out. You would think it would be the other way around but thats how the graph is displayed in game.

Also, I drifted the FT-86 stock last night on my other profile and it was pretty nice. A bit underpowered but with comfort hards it could hold some pretty smooth drifts.

Holden Monaro, TOM'S X540 Chaser and Toyota Supra RZ on comfort hards taught me heaps about drifting on Gran Turismo 5.

i got something going last night with a '01 nsx with n1 and an adjustable lsd in 10 minutes.

If you want a stock car, I'd say you shoulg try the Corvettes and maybe the SLS and C63.
Enough torque. But I always add a Sports Suspension Kit, makes the car stiff enough.

The car is also a preference thing. While the NSX and I just somehow clicked, I get too much oversteer with the M3 or 240SX...(for my liking anyway)

i had good fun with one of my stock Camaros yesterday.. wouldve had more if i didnt have to kill several slides to avoid spinning cars at the online track day i was hooning it on.. the back of the car unfortunately clipped a Castrol Toms and spun it off.. C63 Viper ACR and any Vette are also good fun!

Stock, I'd say the SLS. Great car, plenty of power, although you might not get the best angles stock.

Another one would be the premium Blitz Dunlop. What can I say, it's a purpose built machine..

Stock drifters you should avoid are the McLaren F1 and MP4-12C, they like to spin.

Despite its weight, the Maserati Gran Turismo S is a lovely car to use for drifting. :) Just put on some Comfort Hards and you're good to go!!
