I dont know what the BEST one is. but i do know that the suburu WRX Sti Spec C is one amazing car. Ever since i bought it, its been one of my absolute favorite cars. Aceleration and handling is superior to anything else i know of in that cotegory. Maybe a Lancer MR is equal to the suburu.

Seems people don't understand what a coupe is...

Well can we classify a coupe as simply two doors? Or two doors and a trunk instead of two doors and a hatchback?

If it's a hatchback, i like the v6 clio. If it's a coupe, well i always have fun with the bmw m3 (no particular variant).

BMW M3 is over 40K as well.
Oxford Dictionary defines a coupe as a closed two seater car.
Are 4 seaters allowed? If not, it rules out used GTR Skylines.
I suggest a used Nissan 300 Z.

A coupe is a car where the roof slopes down towards the back of the car, usually 2 seats but it can be 4 or more, the Aston Martin DB9 coupe is a coupe yet it's also a 4 seater as are many Porsche's. I think a coupe can have more than 2 doors as well, but the main charecteristic is the roofline. Some cars can be two or more things at once, like a car can be both a coupe and a hatchack like the TVR T350C, it's a 3 door hatchback, but also a coupe.

The RX8 is a coupe... and it's much better in the game than it is in real life.

Subaru 22B STi is my choice.
Which - Surprise Surprise - Isn't a Coupé...

Get with the program people...

I've had plenty of fun on the misc. Datsun Z cars.. I love the 240, though underpowered.. The 350 is a nice car as well !...

So are hondas, fanboy. Put up yer' turbos!

Oh, wait... Hondas don't have turbos... (no, the City doesn't count)

But seriously, let's get back on-topic. :sly: Don't be a troll, kid... they don't last very long here.

I couldnt believe that people here wouldnt tell the difference between a coupe and a ...wrx.My vote goes to rx8,and now i am going to buy an alfa gt to see how good is it.I'd like to see the brera though :sly:

Savanna RX7 GT-X

More colors than the Infinii, and I just like the way it looks!

The Alfa GT is definatly a very good car:tup:
But I believe more in live4speed's coupe definitions. So I'll have to say the RUF BTR!:dopey:

Niels, under 40k credits.

The best would probably be either a used RX-7 (FD) can be found for around 13k credits, though a newer one will give you better handling. Either of the last generation Camaros would work well, or the Mustang GT. It could be hard to beat a used GTR though.

Subaru themselves call a 2 door Impreza a "Coupe", including the ultra-rare Type R and the just-as-ultra-rare 22B.

A Corvette Grand Sport is a good choice handles pretty good, and is (marginally) faster than the Camaro SS, with more top end, so that's what I would pick. It's good with tires aswell. The 89' 300ZX is a screaming bargain, coming in under 13K. The Elise Sport 190 is also a good bargain at 37K.

Yes, and Audi call the TT a great looking car, you don't believe everything the manufacturers say do you?

I pulled this definition from a web search.
"coupe:
An enclosed single-compartment body with two doors and varying passenger capacity depending on seat arrangements. The SAE standard J1100 defines it as having less than 33 cubic feet (934 liters) of interior volume. Larger coupes have rear quarter windows. Coupes have fixed permanent back panels and top, as well as a luggage compartment in the rear deck. Originally it meant a vehicle which was "cut" (thus the French "coupé") by a glass partition behind the front seats so that the driver was exposed to the air while those in the back were enclosed."

Technically the 2 door Imprezza is a coupe.
Depending on your interpertation of "Coupes have fixed permanent back panels and top, as well as a luggage compartment in the rear deck." may or may not exclude any car having a hatchback.

Nobody's mentioned the BMW M Coupe. If that old is over $40,000 somebody needs to kick B-Dub's ass. That'd be my choice for the Cheap Coupe Trophy.

Right, forgot that.

Hmm...

350Z then, I thought those were like 36,000 right?
