Do you still listen to the music in GT3?

  • Yeah. Snoop Dogg is still 'the hizzle for shizzle, dizzle'.

Just curious.
Personally, I can't do anything unless I am 100% focused on what I'm trying to do.
Menu BGM only.

Music is off too but sometimes especially in the parts area the BGM get irritating... the time it takes to get around starts to suck ass too.

ya , menu music only. but if i could AJUST THE DANG MUSIC VOLUME  i might try raceing with music on.

I'd elect for a volume control

At the moment, BGM only. No music during replays or during racing.

AO

I turn off all the BGM except for 99 Red Balloons (Goldfinger w00t w00t) and some other songs.

Does no one leave the music on but me??? I find that the music is a lot quieter than the engine noise, etc. so I don't really pay attention to it. That and I usually play with the volume down so I don't annoy my parents. So, I guess I play with only a very little bit of BGM. But the fact that I know all the lyrics is starting to worry me.....

You and I in a little toy shop
Buy a bag of balloons with the money we've got
Set them free at the break of dawn
Till one by one, they are gone......

[edit] Nena in German w00t w00t ;)

I actually started a new game just about 2 weeks ago and in the process, it reset the options and in my first race heard music... What is this noise I hear? I asked myself. How in the world could this be the same game? When do I even shift?

Man, how I love my engine noise, not their musical noise.
But there are still some catchy tunes on the gt3 sound track.

So it's not that bad. Plus, they improved over gt2 by looping the entire playlist with editing options... in gt2 it was basically 1 song per track, looped for an entire race. (I did not like that)

btw, I caught the opening song from gt2 on the radio the other day and was flyin down the highway thinkin about gt2.
I sure hope everything from the past and some new stuff is included in gt4.

i only have my music on with menu's i race better with music off and find it better to watch replays without cr** music playing in the BG

I have it all turned off. I play to hear the cars, not music. If I want music, I'll play the stereo.

I heard that. I can't understand why PD made the decision of not keeping it. I'm hoping GT4 will have one.
Amazing how such a minute detail sparks opinion.

I only have the music on during the menu screens. If you could actually hear the music while your racing, I would have it on.

Eh? You mean that they had one in but took it out? I want one too :(

What I meant was GT1 and 2 did, not that GT3 had it then eliminated it, but who knows...

The menu music in all the GT games is just completely awesome. I think I just turned all the ingame music off track by track, then you get the little race intro/outro music. Oh and the music when you get your cash/winnings. If I start a new save I tend to leave the music on when i'm finishing the arcade mode, then when things get serious when I enter the simulation mode it get's turned off. One thing that annoys me is having the music on during a licence test, that puts me off to no end.

i dont like hearing music when i race i found i can concentrate better on the race without it every once in awhile though i do turn it on for those long races so i dont fall asleep

I have the menu music on still, but have tired of hearing the same songs over and ove again, so I usually have the radio or a CD playing. I can concentrate just fine with the music on.

Menu BGM never gets old.
dodo do, dooo do dodo, dodododo dooo dodo dododooo...

snoop is tha shizzle! I picked option one because my music is on...I just haven't gotten around to turning it off yet, because sometimes I like it. If it gets too much on my nerves then I'll turn it off.

I don't think that the music plays during the licence tests, even if you have it set to play in races. I haven't done them in a while, but as I recall there wasn't any music for them. I don't think there's music for the time trials either. Or I could just be imagining things

the music in this game sucks, if there were better songs i would listen to it, cuz you can still hear the engine just fine... they've got to completely change the music for the american version in GT4!!

there is music during the TTs, I know because that's all I've been doing in the last couple weeks.

The only songs I like on the GT3 soundtrack are the Lenny Kravitz song and remixed Stone Free by Jimi Hendrix. But I turned off both in game and menu music since I always have my radio on when I play GT3. Much better stuff on there.

No music at all. I want to hear the engine and the scream of the tires. :)

I have that "Satisfied" song stuck in my head, its not too bad for generic angry numetal crap. "Turbolover" on the other hand is inexcusable. Also that song with the lyrics "new day rising, sun is shining" in it. It makes me think, "did they just try to pick the songs with the tritest lyrics or what?" "She Sells Sanctuary" is good. I've had the game for like 3 months so im kind of getting tired of all of them now, itll be off soon. Do strings of non-sequiturs count as paragraphs?

Those weren't really non sequiters though.
You have quite the grasp on the English language, bud.

Could be interesting with the new SONY HD to be able to create 'new' soundtracks, the way the Xbox works.

I'm sure they could make PS2 compatible with USB flash memory stick readers if they wanted.
It's all about franchise though.
