Oh yeah...don't forget to build roads, if you see lines of grass being worn down, build the roads along them.

Oh I never built any roads yet.
I am glad to hear mine looks so good. Especially considering I had the PC built for me for a grand total of $1000. I thought that was a really really good deal considering this PC will run ANY game I throw at it so far even on the highest settings and on 1280. I am very happy with it. Heather gets a little sad when we are playing AOE3 and she looks at my screen. Huge difference in graphics. We still have a lot of fun but the difference is quite noticable.
We will upgrade hers eventually but it wont be until probably next year.
 
I bought the expansion last night and got the turtle I wanted. I played the expansion for about 3 hours last night and had to force myself to go to bed. The expansion is a lot darker and more midevil than the original B&W2 game. B&W2 was a lot more sunny, brighter, and happier. The expansion reminds me almost exactly of LOTR. Skeletons, rain,lava, war, death.. So now its like i have 2 games. The expansion truly is a different game. I think the expansion is a little too advanced for me at this point. I still have to learn how to make soldiers so I can fight. Luckily I wasnt attacked yet last night but the enemies were building armies. I spent most of the time training my turtle and making walls. I tried to change the time of day in this one but in a dark demon voice it said "you cannot change the weather in my world!" then it turnded back dark and rainy. He told me. hhahaha
I a extremely addicted to these 2 games and cant wait to play again!!! 👍
I took some screenshots of the expansion and will get them posted when I get a chance.

Its just like I said in the first post. Its a combination of Age of Empires 3, Roller coaster 3, Kameo, and Zoo Tycoon, LOTR all in one game!!!

I played for another hour or 2 last night with the expansion. I finally got attacked and holy crap there must have been 50-75 enemies that attacked me. I didnt have a single soldier but luckily my turtle stomped them. I also was using some holy water or something and throwing it like crazy. It was quite sad seeing them killing my turtle. :guilty: Lucky for me he didnt die but I really need to put the expansion game away until I learn how to play. I was not prepared for enemies at all. :dunce:
The good news is that my turtle is completely trained now and does everything exaclty like I want. :) This is a great game I just need to set the expansion asside until I learn more.
PS. When you smack the turtle around it makes a clonking noise. :lol:
 
This game is very addicting. I finally had a chance to play it yesterday during my lunch brake. What started as a hour lunch brake turned into three....:) That's a good sign.

Are you playing the expansion or B&W2. I highly suggest you get some hours into B&W2 before you play the expansion. The expansion just throws you right in assuming you have prior knowledge of the game. I am going to leave the expansion alone until I learn more about the game. Which creature did you pick?
Yes your right its unreal how addicting this game is. A lot slower pace than AOE3 so that takes a little to get used to. I am always ready for enemies to attack instantly but in these games it could be an hour before anyone attacks but when they do the army is friggin huge!!!
 
I'm on the original B&W2 without the expansion. I'm still on the first non-tutorial Island. I've connected all the towns with roads with houses on both sides of the road. My monkey has white hair now and is growing quite large. I've built everything I have tribute for but I don't think I can raise anymore tribute. I really like the multi-pickup command...that's awesome! It seems easy to be bad, and so hard to be good. I almost had a fountain for an hour or so....can seem to keep the water flowing though. Guess I can't ignore my nature.
 
Im really glad your enjoying the B&W2 game. You should post your screenshots of your monkey and your village set up. I will try to get some more time into this game over the weekend. I will set the expansion asside until I learn more about the game.

ALT-S. I put that in the first post too so you wont have to look it up. WHen I took the screen shots they came out huge (2mb)so I had to save them as .jpg and do a couple othere things so imageshack would accept them.
Then look in my documents>Black and white 2> profile> screen shots. Something like that.
 
Awesome! I'll try to get some shots today... The monkey's scares have finally healed up and he does everything I would ever hope for. He even quite pooping on the villagers. :lol:

I dont think mine has scars yet so you must have been beating the hell out of him. :lol: I think I have one screen shot of my monkey pooping on 2 villagers and they went falling to the ground. I laughed soo hard. :lol: Now he poops in fields to fertilize them. Love this game.

Cool pics I forgot about the creatures working out. I saw my turtle say that a few times about a rock or house or something and I though ok go ahead workout with it if you want. :sly:
 
I actually just bought this game and it's pretty sweet, something to pass the time while WOW goes down for updates.

Haven't had crowding issues yet, or if I did I didn't know it. ;)

It's the easiest and most efficient way to develop housing that I have found is to first create a long stretch of road. Then attach your houses to either side and the sidewalk for the houses will create automatically if you get the houses close enough. The AI seems to work better with straight lines anyways.. :)

This is my first island so I might change my mind later on. I just found out last night that when I drop a field, if I click and drag before I drop it I can make the field bigger. That was nice to know... :)
 
HOly crap Pako thats a ton of houses!! I have a long way to go before I can make that many. Great pics. First time I have seen the white monkey.

Picture 4 is one of my turtle pooping right onto people. :lol: He said "Im going to poo on that field" then he pooped right on top of woman!! :lol:

I finally beat the first island today on the original B&W2 disk. I had a total of 6 hours just on that first island. I would have got it finished a lot sooner but I was having fun building houses and I took over every village. B&W2 is EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE!!!!
My monkey was 100% good. Everywhere he walked flowers grew around him. I love this game!!! I havent been this addicted to a game in a long time.

I can easily say this is one of the most addictive games I have played in my life!! I am currently on island 3. I beat island 2 and actually got to fight for the first time creature to creature. What a battle it was. My monkey and the wolf were just going to town on each other and there was blood flying off of them. I got some screenshots but they are at home. I was so impressive that even the main enemies workers left him to join me. I had over 6 and a half hours of real game time on that 2nd island.
I see myself playing this game for a very very long time any chance I get. I also have enough knowledge where I could play the expansion pack now.
Pako how are you coming along on your game? What island are you on?
 
Wait till you get to the last island Camaroboy, the Aztec Gorilla is one crazy mofo.
 
I hope there are a lot of islands. How many are there? I guess it doesnt matter. This game has tons of replay value. And I still have the expansion pack to play. :) I am going to be evil on the expansion pack. :sly:
 
When the game's loading it shows you how many islands there are.
