Put the time in a RCZ which is above average. I even tried the R8 but my goodness, that car was all over he place.

Although no too ideal, the AMG GT3 I found the most fun to drive. By coincidence, Calster 25 who is a Controller God, achieved 100k DR points with this car while livestreaming on his channel. Here's the short vid of the Maestro thundering about in this fabulous car (He drove with a wheel in this livestream though. He even said a wheel would suit this car better than a controller & rightly so).

I'm decent around Trial Mountain & enjoy driving with some antimeta cars such as RCZ, 296 & GT3 AMG. The 296 I tried after seeing TyrannoCyrusRex's antimeta vid on his channel for this race. I think it's a fantastic choice of a antimeta.

Wish I had more friends from this daily race thread so I could compare my effort (TT) with theirs. Rouge_et_Noir is my alt a/c & both times of my alt a/c & main a/c have been set with the RCZ.

Not playing with my main a/c much as I like to use it for Race C when the ideal combo is available. Tomorrow onwards will race with both a/cs at Tokyo.

From time to time I am absolutely blown away by certain individuals that think this game is designed so that you can block, barge and hit as many people as possible. I would normally remove an individuals details but this guy was an absolute disgrace. Post the race he even called all other racers ‘muppets’ 🤣.
Any way enjoy 😉 🤠

Have no words it’s just pathetic.
 
Maybe I missed it but is anyone racing Race C and GR.2 this week? I am trying to gauge whether my time is good in the NSX (1:35.577). For DR B, I thought that was decent but I know the car is immensely capable. Downforce makes a huge difference in ironing out any minor errors.

I was about to finally try myself but family duties forced me to abort just before race start.

I found it to be a very disappointing combination. On paper, GT500s around Catalunya is a dream come true, but in reality it turned into a bit of a poo-show.

I can't 100 percent put my finger on why, but I suspect the Racing Softs in the equation were probably the unwelcome element. The difference between them and the Mediums in terms of performance is probably a little too great, and people seemed to be mixing up their strategies (and those starting on RS were typically too aggressive in the first stint), and the softer compound tended to disintegrate within a handful of laps.

It's probably a me problem, but I couldn't find a sweet spot between race pace and tyre conservation, and it just ruined it for me.

Sorry, I don't have my quali time to hand.

I think toxic rat on his livery sums it up completely. What a complete waste of space that guy is.

He was in a couple of my lobbies as well and was abusing people pre and post race in both lobbies.

Really hope they bring a report/ban element in with GT8.

I come across such scenarios myself. The worst place to be is behind such players acting crazy because not only are they racing slower hurting my speed but the players behind me will catch us up to make it more chaotic.

However, it's more likely we'll find such crazy players during the peak hours of online playing. I rarely see such chaos in my morning or afternoon sessions. Evenings & nights is where I'll find this mayhem. Which is why I avoid the peak hours to enjoy some clean & sane racing.
 
Update on daily races of this week:

Race C (Tokyo East Clockwise) is Gr.3. 10 laps with no mandatory pit stop.........:grumpy:.........Qualy will be the key then.

That means Red Bull Ring will be Gr.4 (Race B).

I quite fancy gr4 RBR to be fair, depends on what lambo, not one which takes an age to brake 😁

Trial mountain was a good week I have to say, apart from overdriving the Porsche to the most part, I’m getting to like the porker more

Yeah I think that's where I'm going to spend my time, I enjoyed TM too in the few race I had there.

Just hope RBR isn't just a push to pass fest with the lack of acceleration with the Gr4.

Mmm yeah. Gr.4 at Red Bull Ring. I can't wait to race this 12 times a day. I hope "the wife" won't be mad at me for neglecting my kids.

That's right. I love Gr.4 RBR with BoP on so much that I wish I could race it for the rest of my life. I bought a PS4 and a sim rig in 2020 and I have never played a Gran Turismo game before Sport. Whenever I look at the old Gran Turismo games I see they have stinky slow road cars which turn me off. I wish Gran Turismo would get rid of all those road cars and tuning and only ever add Gr.4 and Gr.3 cars. Tuning scares me because I don't know what all the scary numbers mean so I only ever race with BoP on. Everyone should only ever race Gr.4 and Gr.3 cars with BoP on because that is the only real way to race. If anyone tries to challenge me on this I will harass them in private messages. I am 49 years old.
 
Just tried a few Race C's with the AMG GT3. Although, a little understeery for the mid portion of the lap, it's still fun. The 2nd race where I finished in 5th, throughout the 9 laps the 2nd, 3rd & 4th placed players & myself were sticking together. Despite the narrow track with barriers/walls in close proximity, we kept it clean & fair. Even though I finished last amongst them, I was happy to have had a clean battle with them.

At least it's not the Diablo again!

Say what you want about the pros and cons of different race car classes, repeating combinations in this game I find quite unforgivable.

(Although I did find a guilty little pleasure racing the NSX around Grand Valley last week)

While Race C is fun because of driving through Tokyo in Gr.3 cars, it's a little depressing too because PD didn't feel the need to add the factor of pit strategy by adding another racing tyre compound. Plus, 1x tyre wear makes zero sense on RH.

Anyway, it's always fun driving around Tokyo.
