If you want more speed, buy the customisable transmission. That's the only thing preventing it from going faster than 350km/h. The accelration is crazy by the way, it has wheelspin in 5th gear! Perhaps you have TCS on, which would totally destroy the appeal of the car. It's badass, but requires an excellent driver to tame it.

I've bought everything and I've put the max speed at 400 km/h. The Speed 12 got beaten in acceleration by a 700 BHP Mustang. The Mustang got like 10 seconds ahead of me ju by the start.

You're doing it wrong then. I was hitting the rev limiter at 350 km/h at Le Sarth easily. I would hit that speed between every set of chicanes. You must be using TCS, as that would totally cripple the cars acceleration.

The car is heavy and it is not a rocket off the line but it is very fast even stock.

Of course if you set your gearing up extremely high your speed off the line is gonna be poor. You must find the proper balance between speed and accel for whatever track you are driving.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 (i.e. from the Grand Tour) in my opinion is a toilet of a vehicle. Too big and too much weight over the back wheels.

The Gallardo however is an epic car.

Just get more power to the rear with el. center diff. , its epic with 10:90 torque distribution , not so fast but epic as hell

On the other hand , Megane RS and CTR EK are crap imo , understeer all the way , I tried CTR RM and it is also crap , even more than the standard car Id say

If you're still talking about the Speed 12 you're wrong about it being heavy; in real life it weighs around 1200kg i.e. the same as a BMW Mini. So unless PD has decided to make up more figures...

Ok. I could be wrong for sure. I have not looked at the weight. To me it always felt a bit heavy when driving it but it certianly was not slow.

So far, for me it's the Prius; slow as hell and it doesn't handle very well. I actually prefer driving those 63hp cars because they handle better.

What: Cizeta V16T '94
Amount Wasted: Prize Car... Thank God.
Reason: Despite boasting an impressive 563HP stock, this thing handles horribly and can lose control even if you're just trying to straighten your line on a straightaway.. The only reason it's still in my garage is because it was free and I can't get any cash for it. I might trade it to some poor bastard... The only good thing about the car is that you can get the Jet Black color chip from it which actually looks pretty cool.

Better than mine. Mine was yellow :yuck:

All the honda prize cars are crap, mazdas are crap, just dont feel special while driving
any car thats under 150 hp, the lightweight "funny cars" just waste space for cars we could use
-the useless versons of skylines
-Pretty much all prize cars are crap

cars that are amazing
-r8 Audi - if you know how to drive this cars amazing
-1.8t GTI race modified - I own a wolfsburg and the GTI is ridiculously good at taking corners for FWD

Cars companies that need more cars --
-Volkswagen - the new scirocco,, the new Golf R, R32s ? where are they, the Phaeton?
-Audi, S4, S5, S6
-BMW M6?, M1?
-Lamborghini Diablo? SVR? GTR? GT? VT?
-ASCARI A10 - watch the top gear eposide this car is amazing 600 hp out of a BMW V8 0-60 in 2.7 seconds and it was the fastest lap time for months
-Koenigsegg! - these cars might night beat the veyron but they are their own beast on a different level
-GUMPERT Apollo? -- this car is designed for track speed
-Ferrari F50, Modena!
-Porsche GT9 - 1000 hp
-Any porsche they need to find a way to get them in the game, like the GT3 rs, the GT2 rs, the porsche turbo, Carrera GT!
-and it would be nice to see the Dalhback GTI in the game, I mean 1000 hp Golf GTI thats fully built for track racing

^^^these cars are needed to have a true racing inspired game,

What the hell have you guys been smoking? The Murcie Super Veloce, Formula GT, IS F Racing Concept etc are all great cars!

Now here's a bad car: Honda CR-Z alpha. Handles like a boat and sounds like a vacuum cleaner. And I wouldn't call too it fast either...

I guess you have not driven the RX7 race car nor the RX8 race car not to mention the 787B

So the Minolta, Zonda R, Jag XJ13 GT40, and so on are all crap but the Gulf R32 is amazing?

Hard to take this seriously dude.

The VEYRON. Won this early and was my first super car and loved it. But since then I've earned some serious ready's and bought better cars IMO and haven't touched it since then and it's in my garage gathering dust just because I can't sell it....
BTW I painted it beige metallic just for a laugh !!!!!

For me the Gillet Race Car 04 is by far the biggest disappointment in the game. I hate to think about the grinding I did for this super crappy car. :odd: :)

I could have used the money to buy a M3 Gtr Race Car and another lovely one for the same amount of money. And worst comes to worst, you can't even sell it. What a joke that is.

The problem is that most cars are being misjudged by most of us. Just because the car looks awsome, and the specs are impressive, it does not mean that the car is going to be easy to handle, or its going to be fast. For example: We all know how the F40 has an incredible history, and a reputation of being the most extreme sports car from the already overestimated Ferrari manufacturer. But when we got it, we all got dissapointed because the car is increadibly hard to drive(I know someone is going to jump and saY: "I can drive it, I ´m fast with it, its easy to drive...blah, blah...), and even if you manage to control the car, the effort is not worth it(I love the F40, by the way). Or the Veyron. Just because it has 1000HP, doesn´t mean its goint to beat anything else. The car is heavy, and although its easy to control it, you won´t feel the 1000HP unless its on a straight. The Murcielago. Its obvious that the Gallardo is better. Its lighter, and better ballanced. When you buy the Murcielago, you´re buying the most "superlative" car that Lamborghini sells, not exacly the most agile one. And I can go on...

How many people in this thread are driving with aids turned on? With controllers?

...because I'd pretty much disqualify anything they've said.

No assits- DS3 for me. When you learn how to use the two analogs(I´ve been doing this since GT1), you can master any car at the same level, or better than with the wheel. I pretty much disagree with most people also. They probably use assists as you´re stating, or tune every car they buy to their limits, breaking the car´s natural balance. My cars are mostly bone stock, and I haven´t had any problem with them, except for a few.

I have to admit, the X1. Yes it's very fast, but it has a learning curve steeper than a brick wall.

Well if that's the case, I'll be glad to accept people's "crap cars". I'm looking to have 1 of every car in the game.

I've changed my mind about the Murcielago, took it around the Top Gear test track, learned to drive it and unlock the strengths and put it into the 1:10's on sports tyres. Theres a certain way to drive it and you have to really wrestle it but the 4WD traction keeps it plowing through, not much slower than a Veyron at the same track, and very close to times set by a Ferrari Enzo, Mclaren F1 and Nissan GT-R Vspec.

Nissan Fairlady Z 370Z.
Good drifter but it isn't good at anything else. I would say it's closest competitor is any Elise. Get an Elise instead. Tires seems too narrow on the 370Z to be pushed to the limit in corners. It's fun to drive when you don't have to push it, though.

Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car:
It's not that fast. By the time you get one and dump enormous amounts of cash into it, you realize that the guy in the stock Ferrari 430 Scuderia is still faster than you will ever be.

I guess you didn't do this:

Set the transmission. It has top speed set to ~220 km/h as default. Add a turbo stage 2 and this thing is faster than the McLaren F1 on city tracks!

Black listed cars:

Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3 (great drifting car though)
RUF Yellow Bird
Jay Leno Tank Car
Lexus GT500 cars

My biggest disappointment so far with a car in game is the C60 Judd Hybrid. I had saw this car in some races and it looked quick. I had also saw some people bragging on this car here on the forums. Anyway when it popped up in the UCD I grabbed one and took it out for a spin on Indy speedway.

This car is pitiful. Lots of power, fast but handles like a brick. I spend a while tuning this thing and eventually got it to where it could get around the track without issues but it took a bit of tuning to get it to the point that all of my other LMPs cars were at with the default setup on them and even after lots of tuning the car still can not come close to any of my LMPs which are within 100hp of it.

My advice would be to pick a different car if you have the choice. Audi R8 is much better for about the same price.

Which one do you mean? I have the Pescarolo Peugeot Courage Race Car '03 and it spins every time, in the rain you are a death men in the Pescarolo....

I have to be honest.. I was really disappointed with the Ferrari Enzo. Don't like the handling one bit. I'm sure its fast in a straight line, makes a nice sound, but I drive with all the aids (except ABS) off. So it doesn't really work for me.
