Lol I accidentally over wrote my edit with that. I said that would be fun, but a bit hard, I'm in FL, he's in Cali, you are in Georgia. We should drag our cars on GT5 with our real cars' specs. Although we have to wait for GT6 for blackbird, the Mustang GT is so anemic in GT5. Can't wait for the '13. I hope its the GT500.

Although if you are coming to FL for ALMS 12hours of Sebring next year we can have some fun.

That would be fun, but yeah difficult to organize hehe. Isn't the one in GT5 a '05? :yuck:

I'm kind of surprised it only made 442 lb/ft of torque. I can't imagine it wouldn't be enough to roast a set of rear tires and/or pin you back in your seat, though. Nice car 👍

Overall the numbers were a bit lower than I was expecting but I drove it before I knew the numbers and another 90hp almost seems scary for a street application.

My god, that is a great sounding car!

Thank you! :)

Did they do multiple runs? Was that the highest pull? That's some fun power to play with and you won't need a stereo anymore after hearing that lol.

I'm not positive if they did multiple pulls. I'd like to think they did. But i'm going to find out for sure. BTW, I don't think a drag is necessary against your GTR. Just on paper you still beat me, plus AWD and launch control. Maybe if I used my buddy's 911 Turbo it'd be a fair race. :p Funny enough my next thing down the road was to put a nice system in it but I need to start thinking when enough is enough. I still have a laundry list of things I'd still like to do to the car.

Well, the numbers on paper (well LCD) do look good, but how's it feel? Is it the kind of 'peel the skin off your face' kind of pull? Is it the 'oooops, I just pooped myself' when you dropped the hammer for the first time?

:)

Yes and yes. :D

As you can see from the graph the power is a available everywhere obviously better higher up. Truth be told I haven't nailed the throttle at like 4500rpm and held on for dear life, and all with TC on. But even then it still nails you in your seat and even with TC on the car struggles to find traction especially 1st and 2nd gear. So naturally i'm a bit hesitant to go buck wild with TC off. :scared:

The first time I took it for a drive when I went to pick it up I was like "holy ****" when I nailed it. And that whine, oh that whine. I love it.

Put some twin scrolls on that Legacy and lets go for a drive. :sly:

Find a large open stretch of road, turn off the TC and see what it's like. :D Make sure there's nothing to hit because you will cut it loose I'm sure. :scared:

Twin Scroll? That would interesting and something I have toyed with. The thought of reduced lag is appealing though the fitment is an issue and so is the HP gains for these motors. A 20g turbo will get me close to 400whp on pump but honest a 18g is more realistic for my situation. That would put me around 310-330 awhp according to what others have been getting. Not bad for 91 octane. e85 is a whole other story, but there is none of that good corn fuel around here. :D

A get together would be a blast for sure! 👍

Cars that have spine tingling exhaust/engine noise need their stereo ripped out. Just my opinion lol. Although when I put on an adrenaline pumping song I can't help but pedal+floor.

This.

The thing I'm trying to get used too is how quickly this car gets up to speed now. :scared:

How about working your way down? I mean do a pull from like 40 to 80 in 5th, then once you get comfortable do that in 4th then 3rd, you get it...👍

I think I skipped the basics earlier tonight Thatman. :p I'm still trying to figure out what bike it was but I kept pulling away from him. New top speed I've been in that car. Based on the taillights it may have been a Kawasaki?

Well never-mind then. Sportbikes can be tough to tell the difference but it had to have been 600cc or lower. Yeah?

Probably but maybe it was something bigger but the guy didn't know what he was doing? I'm not good with my bikes but before I had this done when it was only with a CAI (making 406hp) I encountered a Repsol Honda CBR. Are those all 1000s with that livery? While he did beat me he didn't pull on me ridiculously fast like I was expecting. But with this bike even when he got the jump on me as soon as I dropped it into 4th and pegged it immediately I gained on him and passed him. But I know 1000s are fast so I guess even with 500+hp I shouldn't be beating one so easily.

@BB
As far I know for the most part, Repsol ones were literbikes but you can always get new fairings since thats a popular replica. Or as Nissan said.

But unless the person riding was in a low gear, they likely didnt know how to ride. Power to weight ratio is somewhere the equivilent of having a 3300 lbs car with like 700hp.

Then it was probably a smaller bike.

Got my new plates!

Usually those are horrendously tacky. But this is good.

Hehe thank you. :)

The car looks as good as that generation Mustang can look (apart from the plates, not my cup of tea sorry), muscular and really makes it look like a modern version of the First Gen (69-70) Boss Mustangs. Please don't do any other aesthetic modifications as it looks perfect.

And I know how my car feels with a 2.5l six and 171bhp (1200kg), that thing must be stupidly fast. I imagine it's mega fun, but also pant-wettingly scary.

👍

Haha thank you. I'm not suprised you don't like the plate. With a lot of people its love or hate. And yes it is ridiculously quick. And it will make your pants wet only if you're not prepared when the supercharger kicks in at about 3/4 throttle and on. Then even TC can hardly save you! :trouble:

I'm lovin the stang blackbird. Off topic I saw a white/blue stripe '13 Shelby GT500 on the way to work few days ago. I wish I was in the GTR

Haha I know the feeling when I'm not in the mustang seems like all the fast cars are on the road.

Got stuck in some rain a couple days ago and god is it not fun to drive. Any amount of throttle in higher gears sends the wheels spinning. As of now its my only car so there will be times ill be forced to drive through rain. So do you think getting a second pair of tires for rain would be effective?

Leave traction control on. And even that doesn't help. My dad's 2010 GT fishtails even on the stock A/S Pirellis. However, my bro got these Bridgestone Sport Comp -2s that are pretty good in rain. You can replace your Michelins with those when they wear out.
