Bonus race #7 - Nordschleife - Subaru

Having a bit of a mare on this track with the IMPREZA Sedan WRX STI '10. Even with a turbo and racing hard, I can only get 2nd.

Is this not a decent car to use in this event?

Should be fine with this car! I used the same and had only sport softs on. Was fully tuned, though.

Doable with the '10 STi, Sports Hard and a Stage3 turbo. Close mind you, won by ~2secs

I used a fully tuned WRX STi Impreza IV '97 and it obliterated them all.

I used the race modded one with not upgraded parts and sports soft, I really had to push it, but I won in the last corner before the finish line. It took me 3 tries though. Great race.

Took it fairly easy with the same car, no upgrades aside from rigidity, and same tires.

It is a bit of a bear, I used the same car with Stage 3 turbo and basic intake and exhaust mods with racing medium. You have to be really clean and get on it right from the start. Check the first split time, if you are in 40.xxx range you are off to a good start. Keep an eye on the splits just before the long straight, if you are within 4 sec you should be able to nail it. You may even pick a bit of draft on the uphill then out-brake going into the last corner but keep it steady as you approach it. I spun out twice at that point and blew it by 1.5 sec. The lead car slows down quite a bit for the turn at the end of the straight. Hope this helps and good luck.

I was able to win it (lots of errors, but still with a good margin) using '10STi with ECU, racing filter, catalytic converter, low end turbo with racing softs. Then tried a RM'd '05 (no other upgrades and SS tires) and came in second (10 sec behind) So, I feel it is doable with the RM car.

Well..I had the 05 RM fully modded already in my garage...I don't run against the AI, I run against the clock....5 races, 5 times within a couple of seconds of each other...7:22.xxx-7:24.xxx (I love this borrowing feature between accounts....)

I did it with the IMPREZA Sedan WRX STI '99. I would come in second to the Nissan Z 06. the third race the Nissan Z wasnt in there and I won by 5 seconds. Thast Z was preety fast

This was pretty much the funnest event so far. I used the RM'd WRX lightly modded with sport softs, took the Skyline in the last corner, it was intense.

Used this car, put racing soft tires on and I think I had bought an extra ECU upgrade previously so I put it on there. No other mods, no aero kits. Just tires and possibly the computer.

It took me a few tries to get 1st on, but I got it eventually. The issue is when you get into 6th gear the car has no pull and suffers on the long straight. Best way I found to combat this was to be right behind the guy in the lead and just draft him to pick up speed to pass him, and just don't lose control of the car when you finally have to slow down.

For this race I used a 22B I already had my garage. With just some engine mods getting me to 360 hp and on racing medium tires (all things I already had) was able to come within 10 seconds but the stock transmission was killing me (top speed is redline limited 145ish mph). So I bought a few more engine mods (hp around 380) and the customized transmission and passed the GT-R before the last straightaway. I think my lap time was around a 7:20.xxx.

I had that Imprezza sedan you can win for doing the rally Special - tuned to 375 bhp, s'pension dropped 10 mm and an adjustable box. Enjoyed it so much I did it again straight after, even though I won nothing for doing it again. Think I'll start a new account and lend it to myself....

Used the RM '05 Spec C, with the only upgrade being mid RPM turbo (which hindered more than it helped since i found myself flat out through most things I was braking for earlier in my AMG adventures. Incidentally the last time I touched the ring) with racing soft, which proved to be a mistake since I turned out a 7:11:xxx and won easily. HP came out to just over 380.

So I re did it with Sports soft and ran a 7:24:xxx and still won easily (Missed the Karussel entry and hit the wall, as I saw the first place on my map and didn't look back fast enough). Might have to go back and do it with something a little less RMed.

Impreza 22b with just racing hards and high end turbo mods. As has been said b4 the stock transmission killed me and I won by about 0.5 secs after overtaking the skyline on the tiny straight after the last corner. I reckon if I had fully customisable transmission I would have won by a very large margin.

Used a stock RM'ed Impreza on sports softs as per the suggestions in this thread...got a 7:32 with clean (i.e., no shortcuts, no ramming, no crashes), but aggressive driving. Took 1st right before the mini-Karussel. Fun race...great car. Probably would have been a better challenge with the stock sports hard tires, though.

I wouldn't worry. I have been driving the ring in Gran Turismo for years and i can still not take someone through every corner off the top of my head.
And I agree it's one of the more difficult, but didn't you have the best feeling when you came 1st? Its nice to blast through and get the rewards but nothing compares to a challenge which makes u take the car to the limit to win by a small margin

I used the Impreza WRX STi (BBS Wheel Option) '07 nearly fully tuned w/ 450ish hp and won by about 5 seconds.

This was the best race in seasonal races so far IMO

The other Nuburing race i liked was using the Golf from seasonal 5?

👍 You said it. I won this race in the Impreza WRX STI '07 by only 1.5 seconds on my fourth attempt. The first three I was within a second. Each time I knew exactly which corner had cost me that half second. The third time was really exciting as I watched the splits and could see myself easing up on the leader. One of the most fun races I have had lately. Total concentration and a big fat grin when I finally overtook on the Galgenkopf. Good fun!

I have to say I've enjoyed all the seasonals at nordschleife, from what seemed the completely wacky Nascar run, running around in a Golf and the current Subaru one.
I've been trying to win this one in a RM'ed car with sports softs and can't quite catch the leader yet, even though the subaru handles like a dream around the ring. Feel like I can really throw it around and through the corners.
Fantastic car to feel your way around the subtler parts of the track.
