Use the Impreza Sedan WRX STI Spec C type RA RM, Fully tuned, and racing softs.. That car is amazing!

i used the wrx sti 07 and with everything( with racing mediums) bar race suspension/gear box/dif/lsd(never use dif/lsd lol) stage 2 or 3 weight and tuned to i think a nudge over 400hp i managed to get 5th on my first attempt, my driving and just touching the grass didnt help..

then i reduced the weight to the max and put the power to the max @ 511hp and blitz it 2nd time round, was that quick i toyed with the leading skyline :sly:..

I used my 400 bhp WRX STi '10 sedan full weight reduction on racing medium tyres. ride height to the lowest and aero at 50%

Overtook the 1st place 4 minutes into the lap. Mind you, he kept crwaling up my @rse.

All you have to do is give your new STi '10 Sedan 400hp, sport softs, a wing and the transmission to extend the gearing far enough to get a higher top speed on the long straight. It'll be easy enough to overtake the last GTR around half way through the straight away.

probably true, but for me i like kitting the cars out, so the more powerful/better handling the better :sly:

Having a bit of a mare on this track with the IMPREZA Sedan WRX STI '10. Even with a turbo and racing hard, I can only get 2nd.

Is this not a decent car to use in this event?

I used the same car with stock tires [and the car wasn't upgraded at all] and still won by ~10 seconds. You might wanna try running some test runs on the track?

Doable with the '10 STi, Sports Hard and a Stage3 turbo. Close mind you, won by ~2secs
I went this way too, won by about 3, but you have to push.

Just did the 4 hour 'ring enduro - not really relevant, just had to say it.

Used the Mine's Skyline. AI cars have lousy pit strategy, so you can catch 'em up once you get into it.

Might do it again some time.

Hmm i got a Sedan WRX STI version VI '99,, tuned to 412 riding on sports softs. Took 10th!
Need to lower the suspension!

For this race I used a 22B I already had my garage. With just some engine mods getting me to 360 hp and on racing medium tires (all things I already had) was able to come within 10 seconds but the stock transmission was killing me (top speed is redline limited 145ish mph). So I bought a few more engine mods (hp around 380) and the customized transmission and passed the GT-R before the last straightaway. I think my lap time was around a 7:20.xxx.

Same here but I had 388HP on mine = 499PP. Tranny top speed set to 186 mph.
Easy car to drive insanely fast. And I must be getting better since I was able to stay on course MOSTLY ;) with the driving line turned off. Took several attempts as it's only one lap so you got make each corner count.

Won by 0.295 seconds passing R34 on the very last turn... I actually ran wide and powered thru the grass as I passed him. It was crazy!

I used my RM'd Impreza for this race. Was easy of course, but it was fun driving that car around the Ring. The acceleration is breath taking.

i really enjoyed this race. used the 2010 impreza from the dealership and tuned it up a little bit. got 2nd place about 4 times in a row but could not catch the leader. finally had to add Turbo and I won on the last turn. great race!

This was a fun race

Buy the aero kit for the '10 STi Sedan, with the wing. Give it the carbon fiber hood and window weight reduction if you want, it's not needed, then put sport softs in there. Get 400hp (exactly on mine). It'll be fun because you'll have just enough power to get up to the guy at the last straight, draft him and pass him. And then win by 5-10 seconds.

Impreza WRX STi '94 I bought ages ago but had left standard. Fully lightened, full transmission, tuned to 400bhp, lower suspension. 1st run came second by less than 10 seconds. Got angry. Ran it again with a much cleaner drive and took the lead on the last straight. Won by about 6-7 seconds. I was determined for the old girl to have her moment - let's show those RM's and younger models whose still got it! ;)

Well done I say! Speaking of old girls, I once owned a '74 Subaru wagon with a 1400 cc 4 cylinder. I don't think the game has enough mods for that one to make around the Nurb in time!

buziii

Haha. I could tow you round and we could creep across the line together... Hmm, a couple of old bangers staggering towards the camera in slow-mo... Sex & The City springs to mind! ;)

I had a hard time when I was using just my PS controller. My car was fully specced out and I still kept getting 2nd place.... Once I broke out the Driving Force I had passed all the cars before I had even got to the final straight. I swear that thing just completes the game.... if you don't have one you are seriously missing out.

You´d make it easily with any Impreza I think. Just packed a "bit" with aftermarket parts. Poissibly all of them ;)

This event was by far the most fun event I've ever done with a Subaru.

I did this with the Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STI '10. Just put ECU, Racing Air Filter, Sports Catalytic Converter, Sports Exhaust Manifold and High RPM Turbo. That got me to about 402BHP. Used the stock tyres of Sports Hard and overtook the last car on the last corner. That was a good feeling 👍.

I made quite a few mistakes so probably if I did a decent lap then I could have overtaken long before the long straight. I think SRF was forced on so made this challenge a little easy and maybe the top guys could win this completely stock?

I look forward to seeing the video of you running a 7:30 lap in a stock Impreza. Don't forget to go into settings before you hit start so we can see you're on SH tyres and running the correct power/weight.

With a 390hp+ Impreza, stock weight and Racing Softs, I couldn't even pull away from that Skyline (won by about 2 seconds) and I had all the difficulty in the world to accelerate faster than that NSX/GTO/Evo trio coming out of curves.

Is this the ABS messing everything again?

Don't hold your breath waiting to see that.

I thought the 05 STI (hadnt RM'ed) was easier than with the '10. But either will work with some tires andlight tuning (lightening helps too)

Easiest for me was the 2007 Hatch.

~400HP Impreza Type R Coupe on Sport Hards, passed the GT-R in the last corner and won by .9xx. Got hung up behind a couple cars on the way, but wasn't that bad.

Surely you're not questioning the guy's integrity!? ;)

Nope, I'm sure he's the greatest. I bet he could do it in a stock Subaru 360...if it were only eligible.

Hi

Fully Tuned Race/Soft is the ideal.
