Ok, that is angering me. Hopefully it stays PC only.

It won't, It's already been submitted to Sony/Mircosoft. Why should xbox/ps3 users benefit from the bee when the pc's cant?

From the article: Currently the nerf only affects PC gamers, but console owners should be receiving the “Borderlands 2” patch which kills The Bee shield once they pass certification.

Oh man, that sucks hard. Why don't they fix real glitches. Some like the one I'm stuck on, Jack's journal # 5 is impossible to do if it glitches. Others don't let the game continue at all. Like the Bloodwing shortcut. As much as I love Gearbox, they have their priorities wrong.

That is also in this patch where certain missions glitch out can be completed. But the most significant part was the bee being kinda worthless.

From Patch Notes: Fixed issues with the following missions that could cause players to get stuck or not be able to complete them: Plan B, Wildlife Preservation, Mighty Morphin, Animal Rescue: Food, The Man Who Would Be Jack, Get To Know Jack, Where Angels Fear to Tread, Trailer Trashing, Clan War: First Place, Stalker of Stalkers, The Once and Future Slab, Home Movies, Shielded Favors, You Are Cordially Invited: Tea Party, and (Captain Scarlett) Freedom of Speech

Oh all right. Still making amp shields worthless is annoying. Terramorphus is going to get even harder now. The thing about the nerf where is spreads amp damage across all projectiles is going to make shotguns unable to benefit from amp shields. As well as my Pitchfork sniper rifle.

If you think that is bad I have a skullsmasher with 7800x5 get up to 600K damage with the bonus from zer0 was really helpful for those stupid loaders!

Terramorphus is going to get even harder now.

It gets worse! Here are the complete patch notes (this is for the PC only, as far as I know), check out the bolded bit:

- Fixed fast travel stations from downloadable content sometimes disappearing when loading a saved game.
- Fixed an issue where players could occasionally be unable to connect to one another if one of them had recently been in DLC that the other doesn't have.
- Fixed an issue where players were sometimes unable to pick items up after another player had bulk-picked-up a nearby item.
- Fixed a bug in the inventory UI when quickly scrolling to the bottom of a list using the mouse wheel.
- Improved PhysX fluid rendering quality at high resolutions.
- Improved NVIDIA 3D Vision integration.
- Fixed the "Inverted reverse steering" option not working for clients in a multiplayer game.
- Fixed the player's backpack sort setting not persisting.
- Fixed an issue causing players to sometimes crash or freeze after killing Master Gee in the Captain Scarlett DLC.
- Fixed challenges showing inaccurate completion amounts for area-specific challenges.

- Amplify damage from Amplify Shields is now divided among all projectiles fired from a single shot.
- Balance adjustments to "The Bee":

What?! No! Blue is easy, Wilhelm was way tooooooooo easy so that's a pro, but terramorphus. :(

Yep... I never did manage to beat Terramorphous by myself, I guess I never will now.

My lv 48 Bee before the nerf:

Capacity 16986
Recharge Rate 20097
Recharge Delay 5.46
Amp Damage +39239
Amp Shot Drain 0

After the nerf:

Capacity 16986
Recharge Rate 11964 << Is that really 'significantly increased'? Looks like a 50% cut to me!
Recharge Delay 7.42
Amp Damage +31190
Amp Shot Drain 0.

So there you have it, the Bee is now completely useless to me except for in a long-range sniper role or against bosses who are easy to dodge. Those two seconds added to the delay will make a big difference given that you only get the amp when it's charged. I think they should have kept the delay short and maybe could have reduced the capacity, it's already next to useless as an actual shield anyway when you look at, say, the lv 50 Impaler I've got with a capacity of 49617. That's only about 32000 more than my Bee!

Edit: Yep, gave it a go, that rate is definitely halved. So that's 8000 less amp damage, halved recharge and a two second longer delay. I think I'll try harder to get myself a lv 50 example and see how that compares to my pre-nerf lv 48, it might not be all that bad... For me, anyway. It's all bad for you guys with lv 50 versions.

Not really, I have a 50 bee and I lost a bit on the size by about 1K, the recharge I went from 23K to 15K, and rate from 2 to 6. Amp went from 52K to 43K

After reading some other comments that the lower as in 48/49 levels are halved while 50 are slightly bout 25% er so.

So mine is going ti go down to about 45k huh?

It all depends on the current amp damage, I had 52 down to 43.

I found that a 30% shield cap and 30% recharge rate (or is it delay) helps a bit. Will edit this in a bit

Going back to the patch notes... I wonder if 'significantly increased recharge rate' was a typo or if they had intended to increase the rate but accidentally did the opposite? It was already pretty fast though so I'm not really sure why they would have intended to increase it further.

Edit: just had a look at Randy's Twitter feed to see if he mentioned it, unsurprisingly plenty of people are raging about the nerf... Also, news about the next DLC in 'a couple of days', and I've missed at least two key codes. You know, I've barely played the game at all for about a week now, I'VE GOT MY LIFE BACK!

The DLC will be released with a level cap increase. Also steam has the new achieves up, so it could be released maybe this week. If not Tuesday.

Edit: The Chimera has been rumored to be returning under the Maliwan brand as the 'Deus Ex Arma'.

Any news on a wave, cyclops, Bessie, Undertaker or rainmaker?

None of the Pearls from BL1 are going to be in BL2 thats already given, But wouldn't be surprised if another set of "pearls" gets added in DLC 3 or 4

Rainmaker, Cyclops, and Undertaker were orange lol. I moss the Rainmaker most of all, well other than the Cyclops. It was a ball rocket combines with an MIRV.

Undertaker was/is Cyan. I know since I still play BL1. Cyclops is an orange pearl, and Rainmaker was a random legendary

Here is the Proof Pearlescent Borderlands 1

About time this got fixed, it infuriated me.

aaaaaaaaand just like that the Baby Maker is indirectly nerfed.

Just to let you know that ui wheel bug is back with 1.2.1. I just had it where it doesn't scroll again. Had to exit and re enter it.

Edit: DLC #2 Will be Released Tuesday!!

To add, I have been seeing some "mixed" results, as in this could be an underdome mission based dlc, another one said it could be racing themed with a motorcycle and another one just said lots of explosions.

The Bee "nerf" explained.
 • Bee was broken. Not nerfed enough, IMO. Some of you like broken games - I get it.
 • It’s balancing and fixing. Sometimes the result is something becomes less powerful than before.
 • Evidence was that bee reduced fun and engagement...

If I understand that correctly there might be another "nerf" in the future? Hope there is another decent shield that is orange.

n00b question: How do I know the colour aka rarity of a weapon? like the purple ones and orange ones ?

Common to rare
 • White
 • Green
 • Blue
 • Purple
 • Magenta (E-Tech)
 • Orange
 • Pink (DLC)

Ok thanks, this game is crazy with all the stuff it has, so hard to understand everything lol

The only thing you need to know Orange will always be better at higher levels. Farm them as much as you can.

Edit: By the looks of it the new DLC will be mission based arena. They did put another "dome" area in this DLC...Getting really sick and tired of that.

Torgue Tokens for orange weapons? Not so much farming as grind and buy what you want.

I haven't been playing at all lately, 17.9 hours in the last two weeks! I want to get on with hunting some legendary pistols but it just seems daunting. Well, not exactly daunting, it's more because I know I won't get anything decent without a lot of searching.

Excited about the DLC though, if it is just a dome I hope they learned enough from the Moxxi DLC to make it a little more compelling. I hope it's more than just a dome with a new currency to buy existing weapons with, though.

The main story missions are in the "dome" with some leading out but most side missions and optional one's are not. From what some are saying the new token is pointless since it is just for weapons that you can just farm for.

Also they did another patch to so called "managed" duping on PC. Some people are not quite pleased with that.

I found a Flakker. Looks awesome, but utterly useless.

That's pretty much my assessment also. If you get the range right it's great, but a little too close or a little too far it does absolutely bugger all.

I just farmed Hunter Hellquist for an hour and got nothing more than a load of green items from him. If they've really killed duping (how, by the way?), something I personally never did, it would be nice if they'd increase the legendary drop rate just a little to compensate...

I want to find me some rare snipers. Found a few E-techs. A mortar-like electric shotgun, and a flame orbital-strike sniper.
