Anyone else think so? They offer not much money or real challenge :( i hate racing in normal cars..

Can't really say if the new seasonals are boring or not (im at work), but as sumbrownkid said, you bought the wrong game if you dont like driving normal cars.

The new 11th commandment:

Ye shall find Spa-Fracorchamps Seasonal Event fun, when running reasonable cars.

go and win them with comfort hard tyres, and then come back and tell me it's still no challenge. more fun that way.

I think the ones that encourage the use of more "normal" cars are the most fun. Put some SH tyres on and let the good times roll. :)

I was expecting a bigger prize that a level 6 ticket for completing the three events. :grumpy:

EDIT: I got a premium IMPREZA Sedan WRX STI '10. Not too bad I suppose...

No, don't agree. Boring seasonal events are TT & DT, these are as fun as you want them to be. To say they are boring says to me you just jumped in the highest powered car you could find, put RS tyres on and won by a mile.

As for the prizes, LVL 6 ticket is good, lot's of interesting cars to be won from that and the money is also very good for the time taken.

Try matching your cars to that of your opponents. Run the same tyres they do and build your car so that the PP is equal to or preferably less than theirs. Then come back and tell us if you're still bored of the game.

I think PD should start restricting the choice of tyres for these events, at the very least, you should only be able to run your tyres at one or two grades better than the opposition. Factoring in that there are some drivers out there that will suffer more than others in terms of ability. Much as I'd like to see some of the old 'hard-core' seasonal events, a lot of fairly good drivers (myself included) struggled...

I enjoyed them with sport mediums. Although I will say that Ford GT race car gave me a rough time at Madrid.

How's the XP for these if you don't mind me asking? :)

Boring??

I love the new seasonals.
As I did the last one.

I think it's great fun driving lower PP cars.
trying to win the 400 PP race with a 350PP or something car is a challenge to me ;)

It's all down to personal taste I guess :sly:

lol well said. i agree, this game has 1100 cars or so for a reason

i personally think there are too many tuner seasonals and relish these normal car races cus when you are grinding you can do it in a different car each time :) far less boring

edit: to save me opening another thread could ppl please PM me recommendations for the new 650pp-Madrid a-spec event? I've tried in B,W McLaren F1 GTR Race Car and the Ford GT LM normal and the SpecII version but whats the easiest car to win this in? Thanks :)

Hi I used the nissan xanavi gt-r and won quite comfortably overtaking the leader at the end of lap 3.

Not much money?

The first one gives almost 400,000 credits for 3 laps at a minute a half a lap.

The Second gives you almost 800,000 cr.

The last almost 1,000,000.

I hate whiners and complainers. If you don't like it, don't play the game. How many other games have continue to provide FREE new content weekly for almost a year and a half after release? Go play Forza, I'm sure Forza 6 and Forza 7 will be out in a month or two.

When this game came out the money was rubbish but theyve upped it with login bonueses and as you say offered us high-paying seasonals on a regular basis for free

well put mate i agree theres some big bucks in this latest set :)

I took my XJ13 for a spin and it was a close fight with the GT40 - great fun :)

As others have said already, it's all about how you approach the Seasonals. You can make them as easy or as challenging as you want, just by using lesser cars on lesser tires until you find the fun vs. frustration line.

That seems to be PD's intent with Seasonals, appealing to all racers and trying to use some newer cars/tracks.

I really love, and yet at the same time, hate the Expert Challenges like the recent Fiat/Elise/Subaru series and would love to see more of those in future Seasonals. 👍

Agree with the above, i'm close to winning the tokyo race with a mazda roadster, thats not boring, esp using the in car view.

Correction won it, take the last 2 cars at the bend before the main st then prey they don't draft you to the line, close.....

If your doing 1:58's you laughing.

Races in them can be fun, but these races are the same kind that have been done a lot before.

With so many cars to choose from, I like seasonals that force me to use a car that I have not driven much or at all. Schimmelwagen race was classic.

Funny, I hate racing in Race cars.

I'll chose a production vehicle over a race bread vehicle any day of the week in GT5.

Not much tuning involved with high powered Race cars. What's the fun in that?

I'm also old and don't particularly like racing with a 250 kph average.

I know what you mean i feel the same, only i dont want one-make races but restricted by things liks nationality and drivetrain like in a-spec - so you could have one for european FRs or Japanese MRs with further limitations like (no race cars & PP level cap)

ive been grinding 3 laps around High Speed ring in my '86 MR-2 - i can practically accelerate the whole time! where's the fun in that - but i managed to take advantage and get a massive edge simply by finding a low-spec MR under 900kg
i use other cars but there aren't too many and comparably FRs take longer around that track so im not getting the full 100k per minute

I ran the Tokyo race with a '91 NSX with a mild tune. The top two cars were an Esprit and a Shelby Series One. I only won by about a tenth of a second. I'd hardly call that boring.

^ This. I love running cars around 400-600 pp. I'm not really a fan of the higher powered cars, but I guess that's just me. I thought the most Online-A-spec 2 for 500 pp was rather challenging this time around for what it's worth.
