A 2 litre "pop" bottle forms the basis of the RockIt set. Put some fins on an upside down 2 litre bottle, to make it look like a V2 and scare local old people. Fill it to 1/3rd full with water. Invert and start pumping air in (from about 30 feet away, for preference). Watch as bottle rises to 50-100 feet.

A 15 litre water-cooler bottle can reach 200-300 feet.

Was the alcohol Isopropanol or Ethyl Alchohol? Also, isnt that was forms mustard gas? My science teacher was making something like that in the school parking lot for a grade 12 class after school one day and she relaized that she had just made mustard gas. She called 911 which then called the CDC, bomb squad, and biohazardous/toxic chemical spill cleanup crew. 8 blocks were evacuated and locked down. noone got hurt, she just had a rag over her mouth and sat in her car as she left it in the parking lot with orange ribbon around it. I wanna try it some day. Also, in auto, this kid took a 2litre pop bottle and put the air hose into it. It exploded and shot into a car window @ like 400mmph and smashed it up pretty damn good. It was awesome.

Me and my friend used to make "bombs" with 2 Liter bottles when we were in high school. One day while we were in Chemistry class the teacher was writing out some formulas on the board and explained how two certain elements would create a large volume of gas when combined. Me and my friend found some simple household items that had those elements and added them inside a bottle and closed it up. After about 60 seconds it would blow up really nice and loud. We then tried blowing up a metal mailbox as a prank on our friend and that's when we realized how powerful it was. It turned that small metal box completely inside out and the door flew many many yards Prior to that we would close one up and play catch with it or throw it at each other until it blew up because you could visually tell when it was almost ready to pop from a white vapor inside.

Ahhh...to be young and stupid. Now I'm just middle aged and stupid!
