Important Notice

After a breif conversation with the host of the established Toca series it appears there actually is some important knowledge to be gained from Season 2's Tokyo race tomorrow since the 2.02 update it appears the PD servers are now worse than ever so tomorrow will be a room quality check serious lag/black screens have both been mentioned as common problems with a full/near full lounge. Myself and Gedi have a radical contingency plan we will put in place if all else fails maybe it will be sorted before S3 kicks off who knows. So there is a little something riding on tomorrows last race as dull as it is.
So the more the better tomorrow guys.👍

Patch due end of January??

Or maybe PD have finally killed off GT5 online!:nervous:

And if this does happen then 4 more permanent spots will be avaliable .
 
Allow me to explain in more detail:

TOCA started last night with 16 people in the lobby, Private Lounge, Standard race quality and no mics. The previous night a 12 person test WITH mics went fine.

First up, Mini Cooper race. We all had a 2 minute black screen, 1 DC and everyone else went fine then, no lag.

TOCA race 1, I got in after 5 seconds, some guys like Akmuq where still stuck after 10 minutes. A restart on lower quality meant no black screen but a to of lag and some people losing performance due to the game breaking glitch.

An open lobby half solved but was more laggy. However we tried NASCAR Nationwide tonight and it was broken in race trim. 51 seconds is around a good lap, maybe low 49's in draft.

Some guys where LOSING speed in the draft. One guy in a Mustang was running 44.0 seconds (around 220mph) with NO draft and no-one else around him, one driver could not get above 130mph.

It's pitiful and should it not be fixed I am retiring from GT5.
 
I race the occasional dirty NASCAR race. If you are limited to 130 then hitting start and then start again and you are away. It sucks that this is so bad now. The January update will hopefully fix some of these issues. But what else will it also break?

Start 1st then up to 8th,down to 2nd, back up to 8th, etc etc. My flappy paddles were hurting. :ouch:

It's not that bad, get highly accelerating gears, start in 3rd and never go below 3rd again and it really sprints out of the corners and off the line.:eek:

Never thought of that. :dunce: think the tyre wear too much. Edging towards the vette but still to test a coupe of cars. (1 of them is the bmw)

I wont be doing any random races Audi died on the start Rp stalled?!? Gedi has mega speed for the first time all season come lap 4 i suddenly get 200bhp boost and fly passed the field no way not for me thanks.:yuck:

Wait for update cant see S3 starting early feb if at all ****e!! (Ban me dont care!):crazy:

So even small lobby's are effected, only 7 of us.

FTR's Second Driver, Tom Brooks comments on the Lexus, their Season 3 Challenger.

"I have only driven the car a handful of times and, although I was running the Stock Setup, I can see that the Lexus certainly has potential. The Lexus suffers from high tyre-wear and a lot of understeer, I see no reason why this can't be tuned out and turning the Lexus into race-winning car once again. Myself and FTR's Number One, Furinkazen tested at various different tracks and although I cannot comment on the lap times we set, the car felt incredibly positive and has fantastic traction. I think the Lexus will be the dark-horse of 2012's BST V8's Season 3."​

Sorry to hear that the S2 final was bugged although you had way under 12 peoples inside.

For S3 I´m tied between two cars.
I´m tending to say that you have to bann one Car because it´s 1.1 seconds faster than my second fastest.
You´ll probably know what Car I´m talking about.
1:23.667 at TM with #1 Car
1:24.748 with #2 Car

Rest is at 1:25low-mid (with a bit of tuning)
Those results where made with a quick tune I usually use for the first runs.
5 Laps, RS´s, no aids (ABS=1), Real => like the Season settings.

=> that is a heavy gap !!

==> I´m tending to pick the #2 Car just for fighting with atleast someone.

Any coments ??

Which car King im lost test wise not sure if the times im setting are bug ridden right now or accurate.:crazy:

If anyone else has some testing results handy be good to share it guys, i havent tested the cars around Trial Mountain King purely because its not on the calendar. The tracks i did test (before bug set in??) the cars felt close if we are missing something nows the time to discuss.💡

Looking around race series dropping like flies!:grumpy:

Have you compared them cars on diff tracks? Would make sence to.

I agree Gedi:tup: with so many cars surely some will be better than others at certain tracks?? Monza all in 149's except 1~Fuji F all in 142's except 2. Better setups perhaps will change this slightly i admit.
Trial Mountain granted didnt test not on calendar.:)
Will wait for car confirmation understand pm sent.👍
