[Sail IC]

Enjoyed the racing yesterday. The two race format gives very different kind of racing.

The sprint race is very much going flat out all the time, fighting for position. I was very fortunate to get a 'out of slipstream gap at the end of first lap, beginning of second. When being upfront, the guys behind was fighting hard slowing them down. With a gap, I could just focus on not making any mistakes.

The long race with tirewear on is very much a waiting game. At this race a two stopper was much faster than 3, which looking at the race only the Vette, Camaro, and Maserati was capable of doing. Unfortunately for the race, all was racing too hard in the first stint and blew any chance for a 4 lap first stint whilst I was taking it easy on the tires sitting last on the first two laps just saving tires and waiting for better times. So the race was decided on the first stint.

Looking forward to GVS, one of my favourite tracks. The Camaro with its good handling will be very strong here. But what is good with the Vette is that it might not be best car on any track, its always a good car.

I pushed too hard on my 1st stint which made me come off twice on lap 4 which i lost loads of time but still managed a 2 stopper and 3rd spot (JUST)

2 podiums in D1's company was good enough for me shame i seem to be one of the few that thought this track was great fun Felt my race 2 strategy played out pretty well, mediums from start to finish worked for the tyre shredding Lexus!
