Crispy za’atar chicken with garlic yoghurt and spiced butter

Served with lemon, bistro salad and crusty bread. Only had two each, but have another batch I can make tomorrow.

These chocolate chip cookies came out interesting:

I used bread flour instead of AP, so they rose much more (higher protein and gluten content). They were cake and bread like, but really light in texture. I have a little more dough left, so I will likely make them smaller and flatter next time.

Super good, though I wonder if a light oat blend could give them a better bite and texture!

I had this for dinner before the cookies, which was pretty much a fancy versioned hamburger helper thing.

I raided my parents' garden and made myself a Caprese salad. Roma and heirloom tomatoes, scallions, onions, jalapeños, cayenne peppers, fresh basil, and some mozzarella I picked up at the farmer's market, mixed with some kind of garlic oil and vinegar dressing that I picked up at the market too. I really want to eat a regular salad, but lettuce is still a bit suspect in Michigan.

I made some mac and cheese yesterday with chilli sausage, and some green and birds eye chilli, and then ate the leftovers today. (Not pictured)

Then at 3 PM I drank the Lipton Berry Blast Tea Soda, and some chocolate toast, using milk bread, and Cadbury chocolate (pictured).

Had a lazy dinner last night. Made myself two grilled cheese sandwiches with American, Colby Jack and Swiss.

A bunch of Russian hazelnut Snickers seem to have popped up in convenience stores around the UK.

We used to have a Mars bar over here called Topic which is functionally equivalent to this one so I hope it tastes okay.

Oh lordy... im never gonna be skinny again. Oreo is doing one of those "Choose your favorite flavor" promotions again.

This time its Deep Fried Oreo, Banana Cookie Pudding, and Chicken and Waffles

I got the Deep fried Oreo flavor today. Not bad at all. The creme center is very good and the cookies have a small fried flavor. Not great but not horrible either. I have the Banana Cookie Pudding flavor on deck.

I had my favourite spicy noodles with prawns, but as a Ramen/soup as it is meant to be eaten... it was good but not a patch on the way I normally eat them, as dry noodles with the prawns fried with spring onion, garlic and dark soy sauce.

The McDonalds was closed on the way home from the pub for my friend's birthday so I made myself a ham, philly, cheddar and olive sandwich.

This begs the question - have you ever had a deep fried Oreo? I’ve had one once in the past. What’s interesting is they’re not that common in the U.S. - mostly found at late night joints or pizza places.. I could be wrong.

This is what I’ve been having at home. Minus a drunken bit of Popeyes a few days ago.

A good breakfast, soft cooked eggs, super crispy potatoes and sausage. All with black coffee.

This was a fun meatloaf and veggie meal. I had some 93/7 ground beef, so I think this came out pretty decent for the type of meat it was. I used no egg, only Greek yogurt and chopped lavash wrap as the binder.

I actually have. they're more common at state fairs and the like. when I lived in Las Vegas I used to get them at the drag races a lot.

deep fried oreos are amazing if you get them hot and fresh.
