Got a lot of personal stuff going on to sort, got not much time for GT5 online this week.
Could be a good idea Rolo......
What about RWD cars???? i might consider one if there were more variety
Announcement:
Early days in the season I know, but I'd like to introduce something interesting I have in mind for next season.
Some of you guys have spoken a lot in the past about letting cars into the series that aren't BTCC-relevant, and until now I have resisted the calls. However, now is your chance to get some of these cars into the series....
I'm opening up a vote, open to all of you, where you send to me, via PM, your list of cars that you'd love to see in BTCC. There are some rules (listed below), but beyond those the choice is entirely free. It can be any car that you like, within the rules below. It can be a totally new car, or an old BTCC car you want back. Up to you.
You will be allowed to list up to a maximum of 10 cars. Please do so in preference order, as I shall be tallying your votes based on the F1 points system. You don't have to list 10, but you cannot list any more than that.
The top 3 cars from the vote will be put forward for testing, and, providing they can match the field for pace, will be included as a permanent part of the car list. If they cannot match the field, then I'll test everyone's 4th favourite, and so on until 3 spaces are filled.
Please bear in mind that I will only be changing the weight of the cars when testing - all cars will have 305bhp.
The rules for your choices follow. Cars must...
[*]not be 4WD
[*]be dated no earlier than 1993 (i.e. cars cannot be more than 20 years old)
[*]be stock road cars, not racing modified models or racing cars
[*]be able to have Aero parts fitted from GT Auto
[*]be able to hit at least 300bhp, although 305 is preferred
[*]be able to weigh 1200kg exactly (i.e. underweight and overweight cars are not allowed)
Please be sensible! If a car is clearly going to be too fast or too slow, then don't bother because neither will I!
If you want a particular model of car that has about 50 variations, then please specify....
Vote closes at the start of Round 3 (Suzuka East) on 7th February. 👍
Ever considered a one make series or isn't that something you've thought about?
Cant wait for thursday, looking forward to the close racing again.👍
I should get my Mazda out too.![]()
What times you getting in your Hozda at nurb anyway?
Not set a time yet, not had the time. I'll start tomorrow probably or wednesday
Yeah me too got to get V8's incidents sorted 1st.
Did do a 1.39.6 the other day but was only a few laps, car felt p o o tbh
38's I think is a good time, all about race pace rather than a single lap
furi pulled out? O_o why was it so?
@Novall
if you like teamwork we can test and train togheter and maybe be a team
@llNovall: i'm GMT+1 no clue about EST time and such
@stewards: so my case was reviewed and rejected? Just to know since the next race is approaching
lol @ 6AMno way i'll get up at that time to train O_o
concerning cars, i would love to see a 156 or 166, but they would need a bit of extra HPs i guess. Also what about "pre-tuned" cars like the atenza touring version, the s2000 or the altezza and the others 300hp touring cars out there?
Midnight EST would be 6am for you karsten 👍
Yet to hear anything from skeng or killa, so not sure yet.
@O5XR8 - we run cars at 305hp, not 276120d wouldn't be allowed due to being too fast, but the Axela time looks interesting 👍
So i believe penalty still stands.
so this is going to be the meter for all season? I ask because such a normal race accident happens a ton each race, and i expect a disaster at nur turn one, with some diving inside some taking the outside and then crossing each other's path with 2-3 cars one by side O_O
oh well i hope al will be wellat how many warning you get a one-race stop?
What i usually use karsten in close side by side racing is the race position display , if im approaching a corner but the driver beside me is ahead of me on the race position display then ill yield and let him go first .
