As I'm an Alfa driver I'm going to be biased.....that said I'll try to be honest as I can in my opinions as I would also like some close racing.
The Alfa is fast, there's no denying it, but so is the Ford and as it happens the Mazda is also rather nippy too. The FR's are too slow, the only possible exception is the BMW (sorry BMW drivers but I've seen that car in action, yes it's slow on the straights but give it a twisty track and it flies). I agree that the Crossfire needs a weight reduction which will bring it closer to the FF's, also the G35 weight needs looking at (although it didn't run). This should close up the field without having to add weight to the FF cars.
We have had 1 race (yes we had some test races) but to be fair, the FR's haven't been on the track enough.
Adding weight to the Alfa won't slow it, and IMO opinion adding a rear wing destroys it. I'm sorry but anyone trying to drive an FF with rear aero is silly, for me it simply doesn't work at all. Forcing the Alfa to use a rear wing is just plain stupid (sorry).
Tonight I thought that Red was slow in the Crossfire, the Mazda was silly fast (could just be Paul's driving), the BMW's quit and I know that there true potential wasn't shown tonight. Didn't see much of the Dodge so I can't really comment. Skeng, Andy and Rolo's Ford gave me some real trouble tonight, they were on par with the Alfa, they are without a doubt a good match to the Alfa (thank you Skeng and Rolo for the battle's). If the Alfa's get a rear wing added, I would hope that all other FF's do too as it wouldn't be particularly fair.
Sorry if my thoughts upset anyone, just saying what I see.
