Yeah seen pic before, but I don't remember seeing one of those prior to that ingame or real. Quite a cool looking car although probably handles like poo, still should be fun.

In real life the car handled OK. But, it's no sports car.

But, in the game, Cano said it handled great. So, who knows? I look forward to racing it.

That is a badass turbo awd car. They KILL at the drag strip. The cool thing about them is when they burn out they're almost silent! That will be my car of choice for the ol' skool American races. Can't wait!

We have seen it before racing the other 80s cars at Yosemite in one of the recent videos.

It may be a repost, but I just can't get enough of those GM G-bodies, especially the GN T-types; they were very good handling cars not just for their time but still today. I have been wanting a turbo Buick for a good number of years now and it looks like I will be that much closer to my goal once I get my hands on GT4(eagerly anticipating  ).

Cobra S
that car handles terrible, but it sure can be one fast brick :sly:

I love these posts, they always have good backup points... "it sux cuz I said so! GRAAAWR!" I use to drive an 81 V8 Regal Limited Edition. It was lowered but I remember even before lowering it that it handled pretty good. It wasn't a handling machine or anything cuz it was damn heavy but it was far from "terrible".

well then, i guess it handles good for what it is :odd:

Nothing wrong with the pic quality, just someones increased its brightness since it was very dark (the cars black!) & by brightening it you can see more detail. Good idea in my opinion.

all the people that say that the car will handle poorly in the game is because they havent gotten their pawny mitts on it... TWICE :D like, oh, ME! (in fact, that was the ONLY car with wich I played twice... it beat the 440 cuda! that's sayin' a lot) and let me tell you, it handles better than most japanses ****nifts that were in the game, and its helluva fast... and of course looks awesomely sinister. I LOOOOOVE when noobs say that a car doesnt handle if it isnt japanese XD

Cano

the car is a bad ass in GT4, I indeed nominate it for being one of the most bad-ass cars of GT4.

i don't understand why people are hatin on such a great car. the GNX paved the way for the GM 3.8L aftermarket. don't believe me?

click here (right click, save-as please) to see what a turbo 3.8L can do these days.

can't wait to drive it in the game!

(note: the record run in the video has since been shattered by the same guy (Scott at Intenseracing. he ran a 10.38@136mph.)

Sweet car, the 3.8's sound like V8's if you leave the cat but strip the mufler. But I must ask. that things rear drive right? Please say yes because if so I'm in.

ps. what are the specks on that car. I've never seen it before this.

if you're talkin about the gnx, specs are:
turbocharged 3.8L 90* OHV V6 which "officially" put out 276hp @ 4400rpm and 360lbft @ 3000rpm (actual numbers probably much higher as these could nail the standing quarter mile in the low 13s stock, better drivers could see high 12s.) and yes, they were RWD.

if you're talkin about the grand prix in the video, specs are:
turbocharged (precision turbo) and intercooled 3.8L 90* OHV V6, dyno'd at 670hp at around 5400rpm. for more information about the fastest gm w-body in the world visit intense-racing.com

First of all, this car is turbocharged if I can recall. But (and I'm not knocking tuner car fans), the car can perform very well without fancy body kits or race car-like sounds. Actually, I don't think it's an ugly car. I think it's a car in which if you're not a Buick fan, you may appreciate it as being a nice car to race when you're facing some tough American muscle competition. Remember, I think Gran Turismo 4 is trying to reach out to as many car fans as possible, even if it means soiling Japanese car fans with American muscle. Of course, if this were an AOL Chatroom, people would be bashing on Japanese cars like they have no place on Mother Earth. But instead, we have a nice convergence of cars from at least 120+ years. And let's not forget about the "80 manufacturers" deal according to the Tokyo Game Show.

So to make a long story short, the GNX is perhaps the perfect sleeper car. And if you mod it to take down anything modern, you have a wonderful weapon to turn to when you need to take down competition American style.

Man, i wish i could find the vid of a guy that has a GNX w/ twin turbos on it. It cranked out 1300 HP. It was rediculous. The GNX rocks. Looks and style are awesome considering the years they were made. Performance especially.
