Any hints on finding Smashes? >.o I've found all Billboards, all Jumps but missing 2 smashes...one in Habour Town the other in White Mountain. And I've driven every inch I can find, even through every shortcut I can find when I know I've gone through them a dozen times.

Well ive played this game for about 10 hours now and im 40% through it and have A class license.. Quite a fun game IMO though its horrible with a G25, stick to the Sixaxis..

Havnt had a go online yet, probably wont until i have most of the cars and stuff unlocked.. Do you guys still play it?

^ Normally, I wouldn't recommend using any wheel if arcade games comes to mind. I'd stick to the Siaxxis/DS3. :)
 
How do i attempt to break the Road times and road showtime records?
 
Press up on the D pad, then L1 + R1 for Showtime (hit buses for multipliers).
For Time road rule, drive to the end of the road and floor it when the timer starts.
I don't recommend Showtime with a G25.

The truth is – we simply haven’t stopped.

Hunter Olympus

We’re into our “Year of Paradise” – 12 months where the Burnout Team keeps on developing exciting new stuff to expand and change Burnout Paradise (and in the process, we aim to radically change what everyone expects of downloadable content).

We’ve so far released our 1.1 update, and our second update, codenamed: “Bogart,” packed with fixes and game-enhancing features.

Now, we’re expecting our third FREE update codenamed: “Cagney” that’s coming on 10th July (yes, that’s FREE – just put your Burnout Paradise disk into your PLAYSTATION 3 and it’ll download automatically), and we’re really excited about it as we count down to its release.

We’re talking:

3 new Online Game Modes

* Online Stunt Run – you and up to 7 others compete for the highest stunt score
* Online Road Rage – where you team up and try to stop the other team from reaching their destination
* Online Marked Man – someone gets called out and everyone else tries to hunt them down

70 new Online Timed Challenges

* Everyone teams up to pull off stunts and other feats in the world, against the clock

New Vehicles (including the Hunter Olympus)

Major improvements to our Ranked Racing system

Plus heaps more, including:

* 1080i support for PlayStation 3 owners with “almost HD” sets
* Improved Standard Definition rendering for PlayStation 3
* Support for Custom Soundtracks on PlayStation 3

Custom soundtracks!! Yay!!!!

This is whats great about some games, I mean look at all that content and its going to be FREE. It's awesome. Well done Criterion Games. 👍
 
The newest update to this game came out, today. Update Cagney. New online modes, 2 new vehicles, and custom soundtrack support. This will be the first of many upcoming updates for this game. The next couple of updates will include more cars, MOTORCYCLES, a day and night cycle, weather and a new island to play on! Criterion themselves have even commented on experimenting with airplanes.
 
Im having some serious problems downloading this patch, im getting to 67% or less and and it gives me an error, ive tried it about 30 times since last night and no luck what so ever, plus when quitting it on three occasions its frozen the PS3, Im jut trying again now to see if it works.
 
Custom sound tracks is easy to get to work. Enter the Easy Drive (Online Menu), then scroll to the bottom of the list of items and you will find Custom Sound Track setting, then click Custom then select which songs you want it to play.

As for 1080i I haven't really looked...
 
Got new footage of night mode and the motorcycle! The motorcycle looks incredibly fun to drive!

Sorry for digging up the old thread, but I'd like to say that tomorrow on Sept. 18 the completely free download for Burnout Paradise will be available. This download will include four new Motorcycles! Day and night with weather effects and 70 new freeburn challenges specifically for the motorcycles!

The patch is now up and the bikes are great fun. No boost but one of them is stupidly fast.

If you are on a bike the traffic is also very much lighter, and it needs to be.

Another good freebie for Burnout, so glad I kept hold of this game.

Great update! Stayed up till 5am for this update and I can't believe how fun the motorcycles are!
 
I hate this game on account it makes so nauseous, but the boys love it. They were just in here playing it about five minutes ago. (The demo)

I gotta tell them about the free download and I'm sure they'll love the bikes. Thanks for the update.
 
just watched that video posted on the last page... this game looks like fun!

Definitely thinking of picking this up now...
 
I just got this game. I was never really interested with it after trying the Demo I thought it was utterly crap.

But anyway I had bought Orange box, wich kinda made me seasick when I played it. Then someone wanted to trade his burnout for my Orangebox, so I sayd what the hell, couldent play orange box anyway, so it was just collecting dust.

And now I must admit the game is really quality, wery well done, and big tumbsup from the developer they have been continiusly updating the game. the demo dont do it justice.

Its pretty fun, although of course it is not a realistic sim racer. The game is a good laugh especially when playing multi player.

Yeah, this is a must download it seems. Payday is the end of the week, gotta butter up to the wife ;)
 
I'm on most weekends for at least a few hours here and there. I'm working through the last of 100 of my online challenges.

I haven't had time for GT5p, as I like to set up the wheel and chair for that. Paradise city is much faster to get into and run with. I'm eagerly awaiting the spring launch of the Island.

Agreed, the legendary cars pack looks great as well. Can't wait till they let us play with bikes and cars alongside each other! Add me on PSN if you want play some paradise together sometime!

Chances are, I'll be online for a bit tonight. I'm down to my last 75 online challenges (and a 40x stunt run) to finish out the game.

I appreciate the help lastnight. I finished off the rest of my 5 person freeburn challenges. I've now only 55+ of timed, and 6,7 and 8 person to go.

I'll be back on line Saturday night.
