Well last night I popped my online cherry. Hooches (Hitman on GTP) invited me and there were four of us. I got a couple of trophies while online although there was no trophy focus. I'll have to host more than likely so that I can get things like the 8 players meet in Wildcats stadium trophy.

But I did discover that I am not very good at races against human opponents. I have so far focused on getting trophies and not learned the best routes as well as I should.

I should be able to do online during the day the next two days, and if you still need it, Der Alta, I will buy the Cops and Robbers pack tonight. Just having more cars will be worth it.

Anyone intrested my friend and I are going for the Diamond P12. so feel more than welcome to hit me up for a few challenge runs, I have 2 and 3 player compleated but dont mind helpin people out.

I'll be on for a bit this afternoon. I finished my last online challenge last night and now have the Final Car. I've two Cops & Robbers trophies to get, and then the Party Pack to finish.

If I'll add you as a friend linkinevo, and if I'm on, drop me an invite and I'll join up. I'm happy to help out with any challenges you want to finish.

Thanks, will do! ;)

I should be on Thursday afternoon (U.K time) if anyone wants to join me! Just send me an invite, and if I am already in a group with other GTP'ers, I'll send you one back!

I've got a question. Is the Island and/or Cops and Robbers worth the money?

I would say that the Island is definitely worth the money, and gives the most gameplay for money.

The Cops and Robbers, in my opinion is a bit overpriced, as after two runs through the online mode, once as Cop and the other as Robber, there is nothing new to experience apart from the offline liveries to drive around in.

The Island, on the otherhand has plenty to do in, and for me hasn't got boring yet.

If you had to choose between the two, I would definitely say go for the Island!

All I need for my platinum, thanks to Der Alta, is the 8 players in Wildcat Stadium trophy. I'll be hosting and trying that later tonight.

Cool cool I'll send an invite off sometime tomorrow.

Swank sounds good to me.
And Final car as in the Diamond P12?

The island is absolutely worth the money. The Cops & Robbers. Not so much. You get a slew of existing cars, redressed in police garb. The action is pretty much boring after a few runs, and the trophies can be knocked out in 15/20 minutes.

All I need for my platinum, thanks to Der Alta, is the 8 players in Wildcat Stadium trophy. I'll be hosting and trying that later tonight.
I'll be onboard with it if time is available. When you see me come online drop me an invite and I'm in. Thanks to you for helping me out with the last of my trophies. I have completed the entire game, with the exception of the Party Pack. I'll likely download that, as it'll bug me to not have done it.

And Final car as in the Diamond P12?
Indeed. The Diamond P12.

So that wasn't just good timing, you purposely did that for me as soon as I joined in?

Thank you, sir.

And I have no clue who that MoneyMan guy I was playing with last night is. I was trying to help him get trophies earlier in the week, but he is going slow because he has trouble figuring out what he should be doing. After the PSN had a sudden fit last night I just decide it was time for bed, being 2:00 AM and all.

But yeah, I can now say that I have my platinum trophy. From here on out it is just working toward 100% completion on all my licenses and cars.

Right after I made the other people do it for my other friend:tup: Someone left right after you popped online:)
I'm a team player.:dopey:

Anyone that has downloaded Burnout of PSN ...
If you can share with me .... PLEASE Share it ...
Its simple = )
God bless

Its also illegal.

Sony have been quite clear (and it is all over the official forums) that the 5 uses for software is for a single person, not to allow you to obtain software you have not paid for.

In addition to do this someone would need to allow you access to their PSN account, and once you had access you could do whatever you wanted. So far from being simple, it in fact would open them up to all sort of risk.

When you joined GT Planet you agreed to follow the AUP, one part of which says.....

The game sharing issue would be clearer had SCEA CEO Jack Tretton not promoted the idea before the PS3 launched.

Sony announced that players who download games from PlayStation's online shop can share them on up to five other PS3 machines.

If a player logs into his PlayStation 3 account on a friend's system, he can download any game he has already purchased. "You can send that content to four other friends for that initial investment," said Tretton. "We want to get the game in as many hands as possible."

"It's not about generating profits at each and every interaction with the consumer," he said. "I think that really offsets the argument that says, 'Wow, that's a really pricey system.'"

I'm not disagreeing with your judgment, just pointing out that the lack of clarity is Sony's own fault.

Oh I agree that before the launch they were not clear about it, however they have since clarified the situation a number of times (well certainly in the EU) and given that any discussion on the subject could well place GT Planet in the middle of a difficult situation. Particulalry if someones PSN got hacked as a result of a game sharing discussion here on the forums.

I did question the legality of the post, but again I wasn't sure over the whole 5 downloads thing!

I decided to buy the Island. I haven't explored everything, but it is fun.

Feel free to add me JoneyGT246 if you need a hand with anything Island related!

I felt like I got some good things done this weekend. All the billboards from the city and the island are now done.👍 I’ve got just two smash gates that I can’t find and two challenges I think to complete the island.

I’m somewhere around 80% on the city completion and have about 280 challenges yet to be done. I defiantly need to start my own freeburn challenges because I’m growing tired of repeating the same ones because I am a “team” player. I tried to start on the other day but could only figure out how to start a race.

You have to wait for someone to join you before you can start them. Otherwise all you can do is queue up a race and wait for someone to join.

Send me a PM if you see me on the PS3 and I will join you. I was never sure if it was you or your son so I didn't send you an invite the handful of times I saw you on. I still need to get the trophy for lighting up the Spirit Manhattan in an online challenge and 10 miles in an 8 player bike lobby trophies.

I thought the 10 miles in an 8 player bike lobby would be easy, but people keep dropping in and out.

During the day It probably would be him. Late at night and I should be the one rollin. I tried to send you an invite the other day with the "in game" invite. Did I do something wrong that day too?

I haven't checked my trophies lately to see what I have left of those to do.

I don't know. There have been a couple of instances where I would be in the middle of an event and forget by the time I finish. Or I'll just be busy and not notice. I'm horrible about that.

no worries...unless you're affraid I'll do you like I did bowling way back when. 💡

Question to all of you. How many of you use a wheel playing burnout? I'll break mine out for fun but use the controller 90% of the time.

I've been popping in on the online events just to give random strangers a hand. Its been quite fun to tackle some of the old events that I did months ago. In fact, I've put a few new Personal Best times up in the past few days.

If anyones online and needs a hand, follow with Spig and I'll lend any assistance I can.

I haven't tried a wheel on the game yet. Knowing that you can, and I have some free time in the next few days, I'll have to give it a shot.

I tried using my DFP and my problem was that I was so used to GT4 and Prologue that it just felt...wrong. Plus, the quick reactions of button presses required for things like stunt runs and whatnot just wasn't possible.

I may have to give it another go now that I have a Wheel Stand Pro.

I won't be on Burnout for a while though as I just got Wolverine and when I finish my first play through I'm loaning it to my friend in exchange for the loan of Ghostbusters. So I have two intense gaming sessions ahead of me.

And at some point I need to play my new and rented Wii games.

So many games, so little time. I thought that summer was supposed to be a gaming drought.

I think you may have also sent me an invite last night, I'm not 100% sure because it was far later than I should have been up in a work night and I was finally getting around to finishing my bike licence.

I had six to do and by the time I had finished I wasn't sure if I had recieved an invite or not (or needed to crash at that point).

The bike licence was a pain to get, not because it was difficult (quite the opposite and I normally suck at time trial style events in Burnout), but for the last few I spent as much time getting to the event as I did racing it.

So if I did ignore an invite I'm sorry, and I must put some time into the game online as its the one area I had almost totally ignored on it.

I agree. It seemed like the majority of the events are in the White Mountain/Silver Lake area, but half of those end at the Coast Guard, Waterfront, or Wildcats Stadium. Then you spend just as much time getting to your next one.

I would have prefered more of the circular route style events (not the zig-zagging ones). I really enjoyed the one that had you circle all of Paradise City.
