Burns Night

It's the grand re-opening of our staff bar tonight - but they also have some great guest ales (Scottish ales!) at our local Wetherbollocks on Mile End Road, plus they are also doing a Burn's Supper there too, which is probably a wise move to have before the beer starts flowing. So I think the plan is, pub first - eat some haggis and drink some great Scottish beers, then head on up to our psychedelic new staff bar for some cheap, crap beer and possibly a whisky or three. We might even fit in some poetry at some stage as well, given that we should really do something to commemorate Burns. Normally the only Burns we're likely to get in the staff bar are cigarette-related.

Haggis @ Wetherspoons? You, sir, are a brave man.

I'm sure that by the time you get to the staff bar and on the outside of the cheap crap beer and whiskies, you will consider yourself to be a poet of fine talent!

We're not doing anything special. I might have the odd whisky in honour though. Just because of the occasion, natch!
