Since earning money is so difficult with GT5:P, I am having to really think what car to buy first....anybody have comments on the 2 cars mentioned above?

I personally like the Amuse S2000 in red cause i used to own and Formula Red S2000 :)

Get yourself online. Before you know it, after a few nights of racing you'll have a decent amount of money, then buy them both!

I think amuse s2000. It's more stable and easyer to control than the 111r.
I've got both cars and i use the s2000 much more than 111r.
i recomend S2000 It's got a prettier name to:tup:.

online is the best way of earning money, just for 1-2hours of racing 200k is quite easily made, i have 4 f1 cars now and have been stuck at 2m for ages now.

the 111r is my favorite. It's got a bigger learning curve, and requires tuning, but I kept getting held up by s2k's on 750 suzuka.

Can you please tell us how? which race?

Finishing high up (top 3 or 4) in any professional level online race gets you around 30k upwards, and if you set aside roughly ten minutes per race you can make a nice bit of money in just an hour. Not sure if 450k is possible because I never really count any more (I'm at 2m credits and have been for ages now) and it would be reliant on winning every race you enter.

Amuse S2000 definately. Tuned correctly, it owns the 111R.

Correctly driven, the 111R owns the Amuse :sly:

Too bad you can't trade cars online, I would give you one of my S2k's I have one of each color (possibly 2 of one color that I forgot I had).

If properly driven and tuned, the 111R WILL smother the S2000 on the track, This is due to much less weight to carry, allowing much quicker turning, with a very good power to weight ratio as well. However, if you want a car that is fast AND easy to drive without much tuning, definitely take the Amuse. Plus, the Amuse has way more horsepower, accelerates almost as quickly as the 111R, and has a much higher top speed. The handling is nice too.

Then you haven't driven a good 111r driver, I know I haven't ever found another one. :sly:

The 111r only keeps up with the amuse if you aren't using weight at 85%, I believe I ran it at 98%/323hp before I could keep from getting run down by them, but then you give up a lot of agility. The 111r is definitly not the fastest car for suzuka (my fastest time was a 2'01), however it has a ton of advantages online that the s2k/gt lm/z06 don't have.

-through the essess you can steal a position the instant somebody slips up in the slightest. Because you're riding their bumper at 10-15mph slower than you can go, as soon as they mess up just the slightest you can mash the gas and squeeze through the opening.

-because your top speed is slower and you handle better, your brake points are way past everybody elses. So even if they manage to start to squeeze past you, they will brake before you and now you're back in front again. (very useful at the 130r)

-people pass you on the straights, because you're slower. So there's no need to block or for them to ram you.

-you're faster in the corners, so people aren't pushing you out of their way.

-you brake later than them, so people aren't running into the back of you to stop.

So while the car will definitly lose in time trails, online it is very capable of P1.

I have yet to be beaten by any 111R's in MY Amuse S2000. Suzuka, which is a complex course with plenty of esses and some hairpins - I completetly blow away 111R's on that track. 111R's are so easy to drive and tune, that I don't bother using them, they're kind of novice friendly cars. Whereas the S2000 is harder to tune inorder to get it to be able to handle well under the high power output. :sly:

Does it really matter if it's a novice friendly car, surely it's what you do with it that counts ;)

I have no issues with people using the Elise. each to their own really. I just don't get any enjoyment out of driving them, same as the Cleo, because in my opinion they don't take much skill to drive.

I would suggest that you go and read the PM you got earlier today, GT_Fanatic.

Well, i bought the Amuse S2000 in Formula Red, because I used to have a Red S2000 in RL as well. The Amuse def handles better than the real car i used to have...the S2000 have been very strong in tight corners in RL and in the game as well. Still have to do some tuning on it...but it seems that despite its power to weight advantage over the F430...i end up with slower laps on it...Will have to tune it more later...

I am looking forward to getting the 111R as well...i tried to Elise in the first version of the prologue...it is a difficult car to master, but once you do, it is a very fast car...since I did not have an S2000 in the last prologue, I'd have to check now which one is really faster for me.

Which track are you tuning Amuse S2000 for?

The only reason the Amuse is capable of competing with the Elise is because it has double the power. The Elise is in all other respects a superior car. I used to routinely beat hordes of S2000s on HSR 750 in an Elise 111r.

The S2000 is, however, much easier to drive and therefore a better car to start with. Move on to the Elise 111r once you have played a while.

Friend, let me tell you, i've been into the GT series since it first hit the stores ten years ago. I know it inside out. the Elise is a noob car. Go get yours and turn up on Suzuka 700pp and i'll show you how bad that Elise is. :sly:

Finally, you somebody quit all the trash talking! I want to see who gets massacre's!

HAHAHA The Elise 111R easier to drive than the S2000? What a joke.
