Cadillac CTS-V in GT5

Hopefully this post isn't out of place... I've had a good search and found lots of threads lamenting the fact that the CTS-V isn't in the game...

BUT... I raced against one just the other day in the Laguna Seca endurance race.

Am I right in thinking that any car that you can race against will (eventually) show up in the UCD? Hope so!! 👍
 
You sure it wasn't that Cadillac concept? I never saw the CTS-V anywhere and it shouldn't be hard to miss something that hideous.
 
The CTS-V is NOT in the game. That is the Cadillac Cien Concept.

Well, without getting too defensive about it... :sly:

It was absolutely, definitely, unmistakably a Cadillac CTS-V.

I know my cars very well, and have followed the evolution of the CTS-V through its various incarnations as a sport wagon (which is AWESOME!) and coupe... and saw a sedan version on show when I was NYC last year.

Plus, it said CTS-V both scrolling along the top of the screen (while the race was loading) and at the end of the race (it came 3rd behind me, and a Viper GTS). I wish I'd taken a photo of the game screen!

Please take my word... it exists in GT5, so there is hope!

Also, we might have a new contender for rarest car in the game 👍

Unless you have pictures, this is simply a story about Big Foot.....
 
It was the Cien. Here is the car list. If I recall correctly, the CTS-V* was not officially unveiled by GM until after the release of GT5.

If that list isn't enough, I'll remind you that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. :) So without footage, it's fiction.

I'm with the OP here, I could swear I've seen one driving round. And no it wasn't a Cien. It was in a dark red colour. I remember crashing into in my Red Bull.

If it's not on the official car list, it isn't in the game.

I just checked and the only Cadillac I saw was the Cien Concept. And it probably wouldn't have finished behind a Viper GTS because that's far too slow.

What's weirder still though is that there is no hope of a Cien even slightly appearing in the Laguna Seca endurance because the most powerful car you run into there is the Chevrolet Camaro SS '10. That's probably more what you're aiming for...
 
Neither of you saw a CTS-V. :p

It isn't in the game but, but....if it is then that's just another entirely-new-to-GT5 car that's Standard, which like the XFR, won't make a shred of sense.
 
Looking at the cars that appear in the race it seems I could have mistaken it for a Chrysler 300c (they look similar at the back).

Man, I hope I can prove it!!

Now I know what it feels like to live in Roswell! It's a good 8 hours until I'll be home from work... but after I put the kids to bed I'll take the same car I used (Corvette ZR1) to the same race and see if it shows up again.

Does PD add to the UCD list in each update..? Maybe it arrived in 1.08...
 
Isn't it funny how people conviniently 'forget' to take a picture?

If there was a CTS-V in the game it wouldn't have been kept secret, the car's not that special.

As someone else said, the 300C's tail looks awfully similar to the CTS-V, however, the front is nowhere near even remotely close.
