I forgot the video cable for the 360 so I can't play cod4 at work. It's 7:30 now but I'm stuck here till 10. :banghead:

Yeah this game is truly a massive let down. I'm going to stop believing the reviews I read from now on. I'm giving it one last shot this weekend when my friend comes over to see if it can beat those Sunday morning hangover blues. If not then I expect I won't be blowing the dust off it until I've finished Half Life 2, Ep. I and Ep. 2, Bioshock, PGR4 and then I guess Assassin's Creed will be out, so it could be sometime.

I've decided to take the plunge and get the 360 version without playing a demo... Importing GT5:P is much more expensive than I thought so I'll spend some of that on this game. I liked the 2nd and 3rd ones, despite their flaws (respawning enemies :ouch: ), so I think I'll still like this one (the PC demo played OK anyway).

I've played this for 6hrs straight now and well I should stop because I'm getting stiff, my ears hurt from the headphones, and it's 6am. :dopey:

You beat the entire single player mode on normal difficulty in less than four hours on your very first playthrough? I dont believe it.

Sorry if you're not a believer, but it's not as if I was trying to make myself look like an "uber gamer". I'm just stating how short the game really is. I could actually see this game being beaten in less than 2 hours, on normal.

Anyone got tips for the end of the Sniper level where you're carrying around the Injured MacMillan? I swear doing this is impossible (playing on Hardened). I've tried placing Claymores and C4 in various positions, which help, but I never get pass the 3000m mark with the Helicoper before I'm shot to death or grenaded. I'm hiding in the bumper cars part as suggested in a walkthrough I read...

Edit: Or killed by those bloody dogs...

 You're only there!? I passed that ages ago! You suck! :p j/k

Hmm... I actually don't know how I did it but I tried to do stuff more strategically every time I died since I had a better idea what to expect. :dunce:

There's also the game telling you when you're wrong when it says "soap..." over and over.

I don't know how to describe it but this game is irritating, nothing seems really that great but it's the best irritating game I've played. xD

Don't worry... I managed to do it. If I fall well back behind the bumper cars I'm under cover quite well.

Overally, I'm quite pleased with the game. The graphics aren't as spectacular as people say they are (I still think GRAW's is superior)... I've seen a bit better, but I suppose the solid 60fps is a great bonus.

Gameplay was typical Call of Duty, but the level where you're in the plane shooting on the ground with the 120/45/30mm guns was great fun! Some moments were really good, like on the Sniper level (even if it was frustrating at the end!), waking up after the nuclear explosion and at the very beginning. Not tried the Arcade mode out yet, but it's a good addition if it's like the level you played on the plane after the game had finished.

In my opinion, Hardened mode felt like Veteran in the other Call of Dutys, so hell knows what it'll be like when I try Veteran next. Maybe I'm just out of practice... :p

Wow, how bout that... instead of co-op or co-op online they give us a worthless "arcade mode".

Everyone now... yay...

Hmmmmm, just finished the game yesterday. Second two thirds much better than the first part of the game. I was hooked for 4 hours. Plane level was brill! Realistic as hell, and some of the sniping was fun too. Nice surprise after the end credits! Not sure about the replay value though. What are the 'cheats' that I unlocked though??!?

I decided to try out the online this morning... and haven't stopped playing it since. It's so addicting! I'm getting a little better as I go along but I pretty much got the knack of things right away.

It seems they have fixed the connecting issues people were having at the beginning. I must have played over 50 matches today and I've only had 2 disconnect on me.

I do have a question though. On the leaderboards you can sort your results by "Score". I noticed people had played the same (or less) time than me but had double the score. How do you get points for the score? I don't think it's related to experience in any way.

Oh, alright... I presumed that, just it doesn't make a lot of sense since I am the same rank as the guy I'm talking about with twice the Score, level 27. And I've maxed out quite a few of the weapons already. He must have been playing on other game modes or something, I'll have to ask him.

Edit: Another question... I've set the ability where you take out your pistol before dying. The "Coward's way out" by holding X so you can die quicker - is there a penalty for doing it?

No penalty but I found that when I killed someone then was killed by them while in "last stand" mode I get really pissed off so now I use the martyrdom perk. Just curious are you playing on PS3 or X360?

Same, not alot of my friends have a PS3, they opted for the X360... for now :D So I am stuck playing with only one or two friends and then some other GTPer's. Nonetheless it is an sweet game which blows time very easily.

This game is great! It's crazy how much I like this more than I liked COD 3. I don't know what it is, but the multiplayer is incredibly addicting.

And man is it purrdy.

I bought the game 2 weeks ago and this past weekend my brother and I sat down and beat the game on hard our first time through it. There where a few times where I was about to throw the controller but it was all good :D

Yeah. I started on Hardened and trudged through the first two levels. I put it on Regular for a level to give it a shot, and I hated it. It was waay too easy, and it made me realize that that's why I didn't like previous COD games. I hate feeling like they're just letting me get through the levels.

Yea after I beat the game, I understand where you are coming from. Sorry about my last post. :scared:
