Call Of Duty: Black Ops - PS3, PC, 360 - November 9

I've found that the Galil Assault Rifle is pretty effective, being both powerful and accurate. I'm using it along with the FAMAS and the AK74u.
 
I'm going to spend today using that built in game recorder to get some footage. Apparently you can upload to youtube from your PS3.

Good times, good times. Been watching some CoD 4, WaW, MW2, BO videos and feel like getting a CoD game but I don't know which one. The 60s don't really speak to me as much as WWII, and I've heard MW2 online isn't so nice. I am more of a singleplayer FPS gamer, but the thing I loved so much about the United Offensive pack was that I could find hiding spots around the outer perimeters and just kept switching hiding spots and take out the germans with the Springfield on the multiplayer Foy map. I quite miss that, but I don't want to go back to those old graphics now that I've got a better laptop than before.

What do you guys think? CoD 4, WaW or just go for Black Ops?

Question on the side: Isn't playing an FPS on a console incredibly hard? I remember getting a CoD game for the PS2 but never played it longer than 15 minutes because I absolutely hated playing an FPS with a controller.
 
You should be able to pick up COD4 and WaW fairly cheap, I would start with those to give them time to patch little things with BO's. Playing a FPS on the console isn't hard for me at all, I am one of the few that actually can play better with a controller rather than a mouse and keyboard. You can get a system deal where you can use the mouse and keyboard on the PS3 and the 360 though if you just can't play without them.

It's pretty simple linking your account. Just go to www.callofduty.com and then to Theater and link your account and follow the instructions. :)
 
^ I'm having difficulty :lol:

I've edited clips in the actual game in 'my theatre' and they are in my playlist but when I sign in at cod.com they aren't there? I have to upload them from my ps3 to the cod.com site I think. I can't see an option to do it in the actual theatre mode though.

The clip has to be exactly 30 seconds long or less. In the Theater menu there will be the option "Render," hit that and it will upload the video to www.callofduty.com. The option wont be available if the clip is more than 30 seconds long.
 
Ahh thanks. That's a shame because I was going to upload a 5 v 1 clutch in search and destroy :( It goes for about 2 minutes.
 
I really don't like it so far. I like MW2 much better. Though MW2 had it's flaws and it was far from perfect. This game is just a miss. Amazon ratings only has it a 3 stars. Thats pretty poor when you consider there are alot of COD fan boys that would give it a 4 or 5 just for being a COD game. So far two thumbs down. Oh I'm online only. Why would you buy this game for the campaign????

What exactly don't you like about it? MW2 was for nubs. It was built for casual gamers. Black Ops actually requires some skill and I'm so happy they went in the opposite direction to IW.

The Rc XD however, that was purely included to appeal to the kids to sell a few extra copies and it's pretty much represents what MW2 is in a nutshell.
 
Just started multiplayer and freaking love it. Definitely better experience than MW2 for me. Some of the requirement for Pro perk is kinda stupid tbh. Haven't played MW2 for a few months and boys do I suck :lol: It's ok though, I get on Combat Training and turn the AI to Novice so I can feel better about myself :sly:

lolwut. I think you mean CoD4? This game and MW2 are both pretty easy to play..
 
Finally found a good team on Zombie mode. Made it to Round 14 at "Five". The Chest Box is hidden deep in that map, though, but got the Alien gun the first time around.

The machine guns are monsters against most of the zombies, though the crawlers are annoying as hell.

Well I played cod4 almost for 3 years and there are certain things thar are harder to use in Black Ops than cod4 let alone MW2 eg: mp5 and sniping
 
I think unless you're playing with a party that works well together, sniping isn't a good idea at all in Black Ops. I don't think there's a way to have a second primary weapon either.

If you were on Xbox, I'd be down. Just knocked out to Round 12 again. Got the AUG and the RPG-7, a 🤬 rocket launcher. :lol:

Does extremely well in hallways, that's it. AUG works well, too.

And who the "F" is the bald, scientist guy in "Five"? Mother flipper teleported us apart from each other, and took our primaries. The hell am I supposed to defend myself with the RPG?

Anyway, after 1h 40 and 16 games, I have a 1.24 K/D :cool: Had two 17-kill TDMs on Launch (the first TDM on that map I went 17-4 :D), and just now had a very nice 44-35 Demolition on Firing Range, including getting the match-winning defuse :)

Apart from encountering two of the world's worst campers (lying prone + ADS'd with either a claymore or motion sensor to protect their ass) and a couple of dudes running around with rockets/grenade launchers (M72 LAWs/RPGs/China Lakes), so far I'm absolutely loving the game. Great fun, has a lot less douchebaggery going on than in MW2, less campy (thus far)... 👍

If anyone's up for some zombies, do drop me a line - in zombies it won't really matter too much if the host is on the other side of the planet, so I have no problem with partying up with you Americans/Brits for some undead slaying!

I'm starting to like this game a bit better now that i've given it more of a chance.

Most people read the AUP as well, which covers using good basic grammar (you know like capital letters to start a sentence), not posting opinion as fact and little things like not trying to start an argument.

If you do ever intend posting again then ensure you follow them.

I'm finding Black Ops enjoyable, but online I feel you don't have as much health as in the other CoD games.
 
Well I finally dipped into Black Ops yesterday and I'm really enjoying it so far, the campaign is very much standard stuff but I am loving the multiplayer (played straight from level 1 to 20 last night :lol:). I like the way the matches move with the larger maps and more hidey holes it makes for a slower experience overall compared to MW2 which to me is a good thing.

I'm also not half bad as expected, first 3 games were 27-7, 26-3, 28-4 :lol: finished the night on much lower KDs thanks to being air support spammed in ground war as I was trying to knock down as much helicopters as I can (Ghost Pro challenges, not far to go if I find a sentry I'm good to go). Air support still sucks majorly which is why I'm working so hard to get Ghost Pro right away so I need not worry about it so much. Ended up the night almost exactly where I am on MW2, 3.11 KDR but plenty of victories and I was playing solo unlike MW2 days.

Next on the agenda is unlock the camos so I can pimp out my guns, I already got an emblem which I really like as well :).

I do not remember which video I was watching for this tip, but it could help you get Ghost Pro. Instead of waiting to find an enemy sentry gun, use the sentry gun as one of your killstreaks and toss the marker for the helicopter where the enemy can get it. Let them get it and set it up, then destroy it afterwards.
