Camaro Race Car Question

I just won the top american series with it, but I did lose the New York run again, by 7 seconds or so, the Panoz is a beast on N.Y. track.

The Camaro has been my favorite PD LM cars since GT3. Fanatstic handling, looks good, can easily beat All American Championship (although NY w/ the Panoz requires NOx). Got one in green and one in black, now I'm waiting for blue and red. It's one of only a few cars that I'll wan in every color (or at least more than one) and I'll have all 4 tuned differently to specialize in something, i.e. one for short races, one for endurance, etc.
Black is the best color, followed by green (the JGTC NSX wheels match that one perfectly).

Man, what am I thinking? Must be a different car you people are talking about. I always considered this car a slug. Still do. Slightly worse than the Corvette C5R, but a fair bit better than the Gillet Vertigo. Cars are a matter of taste so I'm not laughing at anyone's opinion or choice of vehicles to like. It's just that this car is always used as fodder in AI racing. I thought the Camaro LM Race Car was the American racing vehicle's bottom feeder. The Viper Race Car is at least two times more useful. Am I wrong?
Mine is sub-620hp with over 20,000kms and my tuning makes it a giant killer for the Ford GT Panoz and Viper.

Here is proof.

2nd pic I did a double pass on the Ford GT and Pagani Zonda LM.

I've never had a problem passing a Viper. And the Panoz can be eaten alive in the corners, but if the straights are too long, it's a hand full.

Thanks Samj13. This car is the car to beat when tuned right, it is a beast down the straights and in the corners but like CJ350 said with the Panoz, that if the straight is long enough you will have a harder time, but you can always play with the downforce to get a better top speed due to less drag.

Aye, I haven't played with mine yet, it's right outta the box stock.I did adjust the auto up 2 notches and it did help, maybe a little less down force is the next step.

Note that I don't use ASM and a very low TCS setting at 2, I am still learning perfect accelerater modulation.

i will say the camaro LM has enough power to get the job done and with the right suspension and trans setup it is a suprisingly quick car. On the issue of the colors i have all 4 of them my black one is my personal favorite. at first i thought it was a SCCA trans-am or GT race car. the panoz has 795 but i'll check sometime
