Can EyeToy be used in the Head Tracking feature?

On GTP's site it said Head Tracking could only be done with PSeye.
Has anyone heard that EyeToy will be able to be used to incorporate this great new feature.

Thanks in advance.

It might work with an eyeToy... same thing as the PSeye..camera for the PS3. '

That says PSeye will be used for Head Tracking.
I was wondering if the old EyeToy can be used.

Considering we don't know if the list was accurate

and

none of us have seen the tracking in action

and

we're guessing exactly how this will work.

I doubt anyone will be able to answer your question.

Good point.
However I was thinking that IF the feature was real, would it not be a pain to
mount up the EyeToy/PSeye especially to those with flatscreen TV's.
I mean mine is very thin on the top and the only way it could be mounted
would be with tape or blutak.:nervous:

I'm sure if its a major issue then some third party manufacturer will bring out a stand or adapter that will solve the problem. Personally i find that the PSeye sits quite well on top of mine and a few mates plasmas no problem.

I tried it for a sec.... Only works in Arcade and my experience was 👎

It doesn't matter, it's useless anyway. Headtracking (inaccurate and full of lag) works in time trial and drift mode only. I wasted 39 euros.
