Can I play my PS3 on a PS4 account ?

So I play my PS4 for Project Cars but I'm also considering playing GT6 on my PS3 , on the same account. can I do this or is this forbidden ? To be able to use one account for two consoles ?

Yes, you can do that. I used my PS3 PSN ID on my PS4 & it works on both consoles. The only thing that lets it down is that if you get a message on PS3 it will be duplicated on PS4, same goes if you send messages.
